Gosh I wonder what really happened, we may never know.

Did you actually get the NOA2 letter from January 26? Or just an email?

Maybe your Congressman's office can keep tracking it for you.

Anyway I would call NVC every day to make sure they get it this time!

Good luck and keep us posted!

NO, we DO believe it! They so DID lose your file, but they would NEVER admit that! And Congressman had to get involved to kick their #### to find your file. Bad, bad experience. I'm raging FOR you! :protest:

OK. So now they found it. Sure, that's 6 weeks wasted and 6 extra weeks of sheer stress. You just gotta hope it'll go smoothly from now on.

Once the paperwork gets to the consulate, they automatically "extend" the 4 months until you are through the interview

After months of waiting...We get a request for more evidence !! Argh....For something they already have evidence for..Proof that we've met in the past two years. They have pictures, flight itineraries, stamped passport, etc...Just something to delay us. Makes me wonder if a portion of our packet was somehow misplaced. Maybe in somebody else's file? We will never know...

Argh, indeed. Obviously, if you did send it and they haven't got it, someone sure did lose it, and it wasn't you! But they would never admit that, of course. Feel for you. Hope the rest of your journey goes without any further hitches.

Oh, man, that sucks. That was like my greatest fear when I was still at the Service Center. Now it's just that the consulate will reject the papers because Ham's waited so long to get the paperwork that they're months old.

Did they say exactly what they were looking for? Maybe you could call them and say that the information their asking for is in the packet so you're wanting to know exactly what is needed.

Ok, let's get this thread back to the top...... our group has been hiding for a few days now. Anyway, my fiancee finally got her visa/passport in the mail today in Pakistan. Lucky for us, cause I had already booked her flight to the States before actually getting the visa physically. (I like to take those types of risks, it's exciting and all about positive thoughts)

Her suitcases are nearly packed and in about 2 weeks, she'll be landing in the USA. I'm still pondering upon the question she was asked by the embassy if she'd planned to marry someone other then me once in the US...... Huh she said in response!

Well that's both a silly and stupid question that they asked.

Can you imagine, even if she HAD those intentions... do they really think she would say yes???

It's like that question on one of the forms that says "Are you married?"

"If you answered yes, you cannot apply for a fiance(e) visa."

DUH !!!

I suppose there are those who are cheating the system, and shame on them.

But for the rest of us, that's an insult on the angst we've suffered through this process.

Many congratulations on receiving your visa and especially for staying positive!

Bacon! Has Mr Bacon done is his packet 3 yet? I'm hoping he has, otherwise, he is setting a new world record and you have the patience of a saint.

The question Mr K's girl got at the embassy, you have just gotta laugh! Just like the questions in the packet 3 forms, have we ever been prostitutes, drug dealers, child traffickers or committed genocide.

On Monday we all gotta tune in and send the vibes to our good Ms Laura J - her man has his interview!

Well, were trying to nail down April 11th, will have finalized the details in the next couple days hopefully. It's exciting, I can finally visualize in my mind all the attention she'll be getting, from her getting the makeup, putting on the wedding dress, getting out of the car all dolled up.... finally seeing the fruits of our long wait come true, I'm really looking forward!
