Embassy Review : My fiance had her interview today and since I wasn't present I will relay what she told me. She got their at 8:20 AM for her 8:30 AM appointment. She had to bring our 1 year old daughter with her to the interview, but once there they would not allow her to bring the baby stroller in, strike 1. She then told me the first CO she talked with was a very nice young man who gathered all the paperwork they would need from her, he also noticed that our daughter was starting to get really unhappy and put her application at the top of the pile so she could go first., got the strike back. The next time they called her up she met with a woman whom she said was not very nice at all. She asked her questions about how we met. How did we prove that my daughter was mine, which was stupid because on my last trip there I registered her as a US citizen born abroad which was a pain in the rear in and of itself. Needless to say I had to do a DNA test to prove to the US and Israeli governments that she was indeed my child. She then double and triple checked the paperwork for that again! She also asked about any plans we had for the wedding and what she planned to do for work once she got to the states. She then took her passport and told her she "qualified" for the visa. My fiance asked her if that meant she was approved she said yes. Overall it took 20 minutes for the interview and I guess wasn't to bad.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
