I feel like that too/ I want my hubby and I want him here NOW! I've tried threatening to hold my breath but they just dont care. lol

Oh ur such a doll... thanks for checking...I was freaking out a bit...lol...Nigel's sooooo confident so I'll roll with that...I hate the sick sinking feeling of despair with the unknown...so I'm gonna be happy when thats in our hot little hands...it will be 40 days since we mailed it on the 20th of Nov...so I'd say the end of the month at the latest is when we'll get it, cause nothing in the mail quite yet...

He really is the best guy. I keep telling him I am the luckiest wife in the world!!

Ok, I have officially moved into this thread. I thought for sure I wouldn't be here until after the interview, since Cairo is known for AR or AP or whatever they choose after the interview. Well NVC has now pushed me here. If they are going to give us an RFE then do it so I can get it fixed. This waiting is hard.

Well, the stubborn man wants to wait for the subject access to tell us nothing i guess. Go from there...whatever...i'm so mad at this whole process, i think i may have to take a month off and use the wedding money to go to england, f^%$$ it all....have a cheapo wedding and to hell with it---if it ever gets approved, who the heck knows.

I wish I could take a month off and be with hi. I would not have a job left to come back to. We just dont have that sort of flexibility.

We had a cheap but lovely wedding in Scotland. We went to a registrar and they have a room for wedding. We got local flowers, I got a dress and veil online, borrowed a tiara and he got a kilt and his sis got a white fancy cake at Asda (like Walmart) but put pretty topper on it and a plaid ribbon around it. We had a meal in a restaurant and went back to our honeymoon cottage. It was actually very nice and it didnt break the bank.

That sounds lovely Diane!

We went to the egyptian embassy in Cairo and waited in the waiting room with a whole bunch of people for most of the day then sat in front of a woman at a desk and signed about 20 pages and then she said congratulations you are married

Once we were done in Cairo we went to Luxor(his hometown) and had a big wedding reception with all his friends and family at a local outside restaurant. Egyptians are all about the party and not the official ceremony apparently! I was taken to a beauty salon where they did my hair and makeup and rented an evening gown and my husband and all his friends picked me and his sister and mom up there in a limo and 2 rented buses for all the family. It was definitely a lot of fun and good memories!

I'm going to assume they're slacking due to the up and coming holidays, such as Veterans Day and Thanksgiving.

The same thing has happened to me. All we can do is wait though. ):
