VSC is moving quickly and decisively

Congrats to the lucky few who were approved in such a short time. It seems though that VSC is intentionally pulling some cases to push their stats forward. If you average all the cases they approve one August approval can really make it seem like they are getting much farther ahead, all the while the poor February, March and April filers are being skipped....

I sent my K-1 visa package on August 1, 2009 and yesterday on September 24th I received my NAO2. (51 days) I am now preparing for the next step for my fiance - her physical and interview. Good luck to others in VSC they are working hard to assist us.

I agree, even the California Service Center is very fast too, we got approved within 32 days.

Wow, this is truly great to hear. We're trying to schedule our wedding in the States, but when I called USCIS they just said "Five Months means it could be more or could be less". (The person on the phone was clearly reading from a script...)

I received by NOA1 (I think it's called that?) on 18 August, so it shouldn't be much longer until we get NOA2. This is exciting! I hope that this all goes through.

This is my first post on this website, but I can't thank everyone enough for the general words of encouragement and advice I've been reading. The "Immigration Timelines" is also a great idea - crowdsourcing to ease people's minds =

Actually, it can be much longer. The NOA1 is nothing more than a notice that your petition has been received and requires an insignificant amount of work compared to that which must be done before the NOA2 is issued.

I'm on VSC - They chopped a significant number of days on my estimated wait,

but since the further wait date was reduced to Dec 30, 2009, they popped 2 days

onto that (Jan 1, 2010), only reversing the (good) trend by an itty bitty bit.

Anybody else see that? Could the steamroller have hit a wall of resistance?

The estimates are not as reliable as they should. If you do some research you'll see that NOA2 was received within a timeline ranging between 30 to 200 some days. Each case is different and unless you know the specifics you have no idea what are the criteria based on which some get approved in no time and some have to wait forever.

What I am saying is that it may very well happen that you get your NOA2 next week since VSC has already approved some files with a NOA1 from August! :)

Good luck!!!

Looks like the resistance continues to crumble

(hope the good progress at the VSC doesn't lose steam before I get my NOA2).

Good luck to all!

History of my Projections:

09/11/2009 My I129f may be adjudicated between January 6 and January 23, 2010.

10/01/2009 My I129f may be adjudicated between December 3 and December 26, 2009.

In around 20 days my timeline estimates were chopped by roughly a month.

Gary said (from the best source) that they work on one petition category at a time and right now it happens to be the I-129F party at the VSC.

This seems to be from the flood of petitions that happen in the summer, so they pick up the pace and the adjudicators can concentrate better

as they are dealing with only one kind of document at a time. You might also expect it to slow in the winter.

Other posters documented that there were periods where the CSC left the VSC in the dust.

We're not quite in winter yet, so let's hope the "Indian Summer" continues to rock...

Somebody suggested CSC could be helping VSC with cases. I also read somewhere on VJ (Gary's interview probably?) that they have sent files from VSC to CSC to help catch up with delays in the past. I wouldnt be surprised if it was the case these days. It could explain why they would have skipped over filers from earlier in the year if officrs starting working on a batch of more recent files at CSC.

I am CSC and got one touch on the 23rd. I imagine it is from when they put my file in a storage box. I dont think my observations are necessarily statistically relevant, but it seems like some september filers from VSC got a bunch of touches on consecutive days after their NOA1. Maybe the file getting shipped accross the country and processed at CSC???

I seriously need to stop thinking about all this!! lol ... I dream of immigration acronyms at night. I miss the days when I would dream of work at night!! lol
