Congrats on the K-1 Visa!!!

I can't wait til January 6th so we can get that visa done with less stress for us. Even that we both are planning on her coming to the States in March. She will be flying in to JFK and staying a week in New York with her Aunt then flying down to Tampa to stay for good :)

Kjenkins86: You can email the embassy and ask them if they recived your case and if they mailed out your packet 3. Other then that if DOS told you what day they sent it you can look it up on DHL tracking to try and maybe find your file. That way you can kinda know when your case arrived at the embassy. Good Luck :)

Grrr. Got home a little bit ago and noticed my dog's water was frozen outside. So me being the nice mommy that I am, I put him some new stray in his house and took his bucket inside to clean and put more water in it. And guess what? No water! I'm out of bottled water or I'd put that in his bucket. I'm sure he would love some Dr. Pepper, but it probably wont help if he's thirsty. Although he's weird, so maybe.

Antonio always tells me when I am talking to his mother than I am always scheming a feminist plot. His mother is very forward thinking for an Italian mother, but her actions haven't caught up, at least where her baby is concerned. But he does cook and help around MY house when he comes to the US. And the housekeeping thing... OMG! His mom is coming in March, I could eat off her floors. I tend to be a good housekeeper but the bar they set is pretty damn high! You think she will freak that my cat jumps on the counter to see what you are doing in the kitchen??.. I am desperatly trying to break him of this habit before she gets here!! Any cat whisperers in here?.. this is my first time with a cat.. I am generally a dog person... I can train a dog, but this freaking cat owns me instead of the other way around..

If you figure that one out let me know the secret. My cat does the same thing and it's going to drive Fuat crazy.

He's at work right now.. trying to catch up on all these posts :)

I'm happy cause we will be together again, but we still didn't receive NOA2 and sometimes, to be honest, I am thinking that maybe it's not bad to get RFE...just to hear anything from VSC. :huh2::huh:

I waited 74 days, of course that's short compared to some people who waited much longer but september filers average wait time seemed to be 40 days or less. 70 days...it's frustrating to see they are approving people from October and we are still on Initial Review. I mean I'm happy for others, but it seems like we are forgotten. It' not a nice feeling. You know that! :(

I would be calling them..a lot..possibly getting someone else involved to try and expedite some sort of response.

Have they touched your case a lot after NOA1? or not at all?

They touched only once, on October 8 and since then...nothing. I think we will call them next week, just to hear something. Maybe, in that case, someone will put our petition on the desk and look, at least that...

It's gonna happen, sweetie. We all know it's gonna happen for you. I'm a firm believer in the saying that a watched kettle doesn't boil. As far as I'm aware you haven't been stalking like crazy in a while so it must be about to boil!!!

I don't know if any of our other members are waiting for NOA2's, but at this point, they havent been posting so it's not a concern of mine. My family is my concern.

Just out of curiosity when you or your fiancee comes into the US, which POE are you thinking about coming in through?

Alice will be coming in through Atlanta, which seems to have a reasonable record.

We'll go through JFK (new york)...that's where i live and there is a direct flight. have you heard bad things about it?

Actually, only good things about NY, only one person was taken to a room, but they said it was their own fault for not responding the question well.

Hey, don't be sad. It's December, the month when a lot of miracles happen ;) I'm sure you will get your good news right before Christmas.

I am confused about something. Maybe someone in here can help me. If my POE will be JFK, do I get a work permit? I read that some people didn't get theirs. We thought about flying through JFK just to get my work permit, but at the same time I don't wanna risk losing my connection flight to Atlanta, since things can go pretty slow when you're going through Immigration.
