Absolutely do not pursue the K3--the CR-1 is a much better option. Once you get your NVC number, you can finish with them in as few as 13 days, if you've followed the shortcuts. On average, you're looking at a month. The end result, though, is that your husband comes with a greencard. Believe me, it's worth it, both financially and psychologically. Having a greencard will make your life together much, much easier.

06/09/09. - I-130 sent to csc

06/18/09 . - Noa1 ( touched )

08/27/09 .- I-130 approved ( got so excited )

08/14/09. - Nvc assigned case #( after 12 long days)

08/17/09 - Ds 3032 emailed to hubby , ( Aos fee bill generated and paid )

08/18/09 - hubby emailed back ds3032

08/22/09 - Aos showed" paid "

08/22/09- IV bill generated ( and paid)

08/23/09- Ds 3032 accepted

08/24/09 -IV bill showed "paid"

08/25/09- Aos overnight

08/28/09- 864 got to nvc

10/01/09- hubby sent ds230

10/06/09- Rfe(grrrrr)

10/08/09 - resend -864

10/09/09- 230 got accepted

10/19/09 - LOG IN FAIL, FAIL,FAIL,FAIL,FAIL ( i did not even know what was going on !!!!!) MY BODY JUST FROZE IN FRONT OF THEPC !!!!

10/20/09- It is "official " per op "case complete" OMG !!!!

11/02/09- INTERVIEW date assigned , email received from nvc (Thankyou ! thankyou ! thankyou ! god!!!!!!! thankyou every one

in vj) (total of 35 working days in nvc)

11/04/09- package left nvc

11/16/09- Medical done and waiting for result

12/10/09- VISA APPROVED (slip given appointment for tuesday to pick up passport )

12/15/09- VISA ON HAND ( praise god )

02/01/10 - POE

03/02/10- Green card arrived

Yay! You will be better off for going that route :dance: Beth, thank you for being here for people all the time. I don't post often here, but you're always on every forum I look at with good advice. I hope your continued cleaning of old drawers yields more treasures. And I hope your hubby gets his interview in France in time there. We are all pulling for you! :goofy:

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.

Another day, another call to NVC... still no case number. :( It's only been a week since I got the e-mail that my NOA2 was sent out, but I'm so impatient! I want my NVC case number already!

I know the feeling. I got approved on August 31st and still no case number. Still waiting anxiously.

Wedding: 2008-12-15 in Lahore Pakistan

NOA2 (approval) 2009-08-31 (after waiting 3 months)

NVC Case # Assigned 2009-09-14

AOS package sent: 2010-03-22(after 6 months of AOS bill paid)

Login Failure: 2010-04-05 at 10:50 pm YAY!!!!!!!!

Case Complete @NVC (per AVR): 2010-04-06 at 3:00 am

Medical in Lahore: 2010-05-05, got the reports back on 2010-05-07

Interview Day: 2010-05-20 APPROVED! NO AP! <<True Miracle>>

Received Passport with Visa Stamp: 2010-05-22

POE: Houston, Texas on 2010-06-07, home by 11pm!>>>Cleared and finally home!

Received SSN: 2010-06-16

Greencard Received: 2010-07-15

Removal of Conditions:

NOA1: 2012-03-21

Biometrics: 2012-05-02

Approval 10 yrs Greencard: 2012-10-04

Greencard Received: 2012-10-??

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

It's maddening, isn't it? I know they've got a lot of cases, but I've got everything ready and waiting for them. I want them to hurry up and give me my number so I can send them everything they need, and keep this ball rollin! ;)

soooooooooooo we spoke with an operator and she says they haven't received it yet and we should call back in a COUPLE WEEKS! :help:

say it ain't so!?!?!
