Hi all,

Just thought I'd write a quick "review" of my biometrics experience in Denver today - I was sent to the USCIS Office in Aurora, which was very hard to find - the address didn't indicate it's actually in a shopping plaza, and the office itself has blacked out windows, nothing to indicate it's USCIS apart from "Applications Assistance Center" on the outside, and the opening hours.

It took me a while to find it, so unfortunately I arrived 10 minutes late - the Security Officer/Receptionist was completely fine though, and very polite and friendly. I mentioned that my Appointment Letter had me listed as removing conditions on an Entrepreneur Visa, which he was able to get corrected for me.

The lady who took my biometrics was very nice and friendly, and I was in and out of the Center within about 10 minutes! Filled out a survey saying they had very good customer service and processing times, but they should consider putting a USCIS Logo on the outside of the building or similar to make it easier to find (perhaps they had problems with random people coming in trying to get Immigration Info - but perhaps an additional sign saying "Entry by Appointment Only" or similar would help).

Anyhow, hopefully the rest of the process will be smooth and best of luck to everyone else filing for removal of conditions!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Yeah you are right. There is no sign (or at least is very small) outside of the office and as you, my experience with the security guy was very good, not the same with the lady that took my biometrics, she was in a hurry to finish and she was talking with another employee that she was hungry and wanted to finish fast while she was doing my biometrics. She asked me to confirm that all my data was OK in the screen and I was going to confirm everything when see sent the information without giving me chance to confirm anything.

According with the trend of the last 2 months in CSC you should receive your answer in just 22-28 days! (from the time of your biometrics).

Good luck.

Hi,

My wife just received her Bioappointment for September 14th in Seattle. Is it true that it is possible to go in early and have the Biometrics stuff done before the appointment date on the letter? If we do go in early, does that speed up the process at all for removing conditions?

Thank you all!

I couldn't answer you, but mostly you can go early biometric, just walk into the office, and explain why you need to go earlier. In Denver office, they were really nice, they don't ask a lot of questions, you just fill up the form and wait on the line. I did biometric earlier for I-130 and I-751, and just fine.

To be honest with you, I don't know if it speed up or not, just keep fingers cross...:D (because I'm still waiting, but I got touch the day after biometric).

Good luck.

2 years ago I did my biometrics for my AOS in Denver as well and had the same problem... couldn't find the office right away...

But the staff was extremely friendly and they worked very efficient!

Now I live near Seattle, here they do the biometrics in the main office, very easy to find, reminded me of my Denver experience though... I kept on looking for a small building and ended up in front of that huge office, lol...

@guitarboy53: Yes, alot of USCIS offices will let people do their biometrics on a walk in basis, before their actual appointment. Some offices won't though (that's what I have heard from people). As lucky_star pointed out already, I am not sure if it will speed up the process. Honestly, I doubt it. That's just my opinion. I just had my biometrics for ROC done in the middle of July and received my new card a month later, total time from sending in the application until having the new card in mail: 9.5 weeks. I don't think an early biometrics would have sped up the process even more.
