I submitted my case and it was accepted on May 8, 2009. It's not showing in the systems yet and I have to get my calls escalated to find out anything. Today I called to follow up and they said I had another 5-6 months before I would hear anything from them. That's a really long long time since it's already been in the system for 3 months. Does it sometimes take that long? How hopeful should I be that it could take less time than that?

Thanks in advance!

They're working on march filers atm. Still about 95 march filers to go, so I'm guessing they'll start with may filers somewhere end september october..

Idk about the status website, All i can see is pending, i dont get touches. So idk if they're just not updating or not touching.

You can't rely on their website. We got our NOA2 in June and the website still says they haven't touched it since we submitted the petition.

They're working on march filers atm. Still about 95 march filers to go,

Still about 95 VJ members to go. In actuality, there are many more March filers who don't use visa journey that are waiting. Always remember that we are not the only people who file for these types of visas.

Anyway, ms_jinga_lala -- The whole "We won't help you for 5 - 6 months" is a script that they stick to. They will not tell you anything else for the next six months, so I really wouldn't bother with listening to that. However, VSC seems to be processing applications in roughly five months, as you filed in May and, according to your timeline, "your I129f may be adjudicated between October 3, 2009 and October 9, 2009."

Here's hoping it goes faster for you, but keep in mind that it may not; just try your best to be as patient as possible. :)

My case did not show up in the system until we were approved. I was going crazy every week calling for awhile, and they just assured me that our case was at the service center even though I could not see it online. Then on the day I could see it, we were told that is was approved. If it has been this long and you still see nothing online, chances are it won't show up until you are approved just like ours did. Good luck. Ours took around 4 months for approval.

Yes, it takes that long recently. The online system of status checking is not very accurate. My wife has been here a year and we are still listed as "pending" The online system is NOT the determining factor, it really doesn't matter what it says online.

Yes they are right the website is not reliable. Our petition was approved July 4 but the website stated it was still pending. Then the hard copy NOA2 came almost one month later.:wacko:
