What does your status state on the website when you received your biometrics appt?

1. You just have to wait for your biometrics appointment  , it ussually arrives nothing more than 10 days after you received your NOA's

2. If you are filing for AOS through marriage, your case is gonna be transferred to Missouri Service Center, so no need to worry

3. My status did not change for receipt of biometrics notice and i don't think it does change for anybody, so like i said, keep waiting. Best Of Luck!!!!!!!

Ok, no Receipt Notice yet.

My school advisor told me that on September 24, she will terminate my I-20 using the reason that I have “otherwise failed to maintain student status”. She will indicate that I have reported to her that I am filing for a change of status to permanent resident. She also tol me that if I provide her with an “A” number or the application number from my receipt notice before that date, she will include it in the explanation of the reason for my I-20 termination.

The classes started last Monday and unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to enroll in any classe due to financial problem.

Anyone here had the same experience/previous experience? Comments and suggestions are much appreciated

yup i even called 1800 USCIS line and they said: if we don't receive it from RECIEVED DATE 30 days from that, on the 31st day we can call the USCIS for the notice of biometrics.

Leo&Leoniess, you will take your biometrics regardless. Its part of the process.

I sent the old version of G-325A, I think. 4 copies for each I-485 and I-130.

Either way you mentioned is fine to attach passport photos. I just made 'baggies' myself: cut a piece of paper, folded it so that it's a bit bigger than size of the photo, and stapled the sides. I couldn't find liitle baggies in 2 grocery stores, so I didn't want to look anymore, and just made my own. I made 4 of those to go with I-485, I-765, I-130 ant put the photos in them, attaching them with paperclips to the front of the forms. You can use a blank sheet of paper and attach it to the back of the forms (in a little baggy, just in case, so the photos don't get lost), or just attach plastic baggies to the front of the forms.

Also, you should write on the baggies "Photo of _",and name in the back of each passport photo. I attched:

- a baggy with 2 photos to G-325A in my I-485 folder

- a baggy with 2 photos with I-765

- a baggy with a photo of my hasband with his G-325A in I-130 folder

- a baggy with a photo of myself with my G-325A in I-130 folder

Thanks! I am making my baggies too :)

I had only 4 pictures and I didnt want to spend more money (they are really expensive here) So I went to wallgreens and made copies from the ones I had and the only charged me 1.50 dol for 6 copies. So if you really want to save money on the pics you can just take one and then make copies.:)

ChiQy, you should be happy they let you stop maintainig your F-1 status once you get a NOA, in my school you have to have a green card/approval letter to not have to be a full-yime student...So, even though our NOA for I-485 is dated 08/06, it dioes not mean anything to my international advisor :) The reason why they want you to stay F-1 is if you get denied for AOS, you won't get deported...

SIS Hwang, you shoul not worry just yet, most people get bio notice within a 10-day range after recieving their NOA, so there is no need to worry at all, wait till the middle of next week, and then there will be a reason to be nervous. But yeah, USCIS say you need to wait 30days from the NOA date to call them in regard to biometrics...

I went to my biometrics appointment at 10 am yesterday, Everything went smoothly i thought it was going to take forever... i got there at 9:45 they called my number at 9:50-9:55 Took my fingerprints and picture. the guy that did my fingerprints and pic was so nice and made me feel comfortable. When you go don't forget to bring your ID and the letter for the biometrics :)

I was heading home around 10:05. He told me we'll send your work card in the mail but he never said anything about my advance parole? I'm confused do you guys know if i get the advance parole with the work visa?

I told him i didn't know what to write in the last part in the form he gave me where it says "benefits" and it gives you all this forms on there... i didn't know if he had to fill that out or me he said he'll get it and not to worry about it... Was i suppose to tell him that I'm applying for advance parole hahahaha I'm freaking out because i need to go home in december. Thank you for answering!

May.29.2009 Got married!!!
