i was biased against the case and knew quite a bit about it already - a former co-worker was busted by ice in an online child porn sting, this guy today was caught in the same sting.

Happy Tuesday MENA (F)

Last night we went to see my friends new twins! Emme and Tyler! They were born on Saturday...and OMG they are so beautiful!! What a blessing...thank god they are both healthy and happy little peanuts! They actually let us bring our twins upstairs to see them...that was a shocker  I went up to the maternity floor w/ my hubby and BIL, thinking my BIL would watch them in the waiting area but the nurses said...come on in.... It was fun having the twins get to meet the new twins on the block! Nour couldn't stop staring at me holding the babies...I think I saw a hint of jealousy for the first time! :innocent:

Angie...praying for you MIL!! (F)

HLM...I sent you a PM...also as Sara said check garage sales and craigslist(i love it!!). Also, do you have an IKEA by you?

Nagi....miss hearing from you. How r ya?

amal, i guess your half-hijab day is nearly over, how did it go?! i went full-bore into hijab, and i kind of regret it now, because i feel sort of locked into it. like once you go hijab you can never go back. :P i remember in the beginning feeling acutely aware of people looking at me, but i don't notice it as much now.

...ehm...tamara....*cough* when u come to houston, u HAVE to come over for mansaf

1/2 hijab day was a success. About halfway thru my day I realized that I look similar to a bowling pin.... I look silly but my hair is already stuck to my head so I will keep it on till I get home. I will try a different style tomorrow and see how that goes. I wanna do it full on but I'll feel really silly ...so I gotta take it slow. Also I have been here 2 years and most of our customers know me so I want to get them used to the new look slowly.

Thanks girl. He is seeing his dr every week now to monitor things. He had his insulin reserve checked and we will find out about that on Thursday. They also repeated his liver function tests so the dr can see what choles meds to put him on. He has been watching his food a lot this past week, and he quit smoking so hopefully he can keep it up.

Beginning to pack for our trip (1 week!)...

Is it just me, or do you all end up feeling a little like a pack mule when you go visit? I have: baby clothes and bottles for my friend's wife, shoes for husband, "american" food for my picky daughter, shampoo and delicate-area cream for his sister , crayons and colorbooks for all of his neices and nephews... as well as all of mine and my daughter's #######, of course. fortunately all of her clothes squeezed into a suitcase along with the baby clothes.
