Comments : Tarik and I were married first in Morocco, on February 2, 2007. While I was there we thoroughly researched the petitions and things required. We had no idea, as a sponsor for your spouse you had to make a certain amount of money to "support" them.
Coming back to the states was a dark time, facing my life alone without him and having desperately to search for a co-sponsor. It was only with the help of an angel(our sponsor), hard work, determination, patience and a good lawyer that we will be able to spend the rest of our lives together....dreams really do come true!

AP waiting 12 days...

VISA RECEIVED K3 April 10, 2008
SAME DAY...INTERVIEW SET FOR CR1

interview for CR1 visa May 15,2008
medical appointment (CR1) May 5, 2008
AP still waiting as of October 16, 2008.

When all seemed hopeless, helpless and no end in sight, Tarik got the call on Halloween, October 31, 2008. They asked him to come Nov 3rd to bring his passport! I couldn't believe it! After 5 1/2 months of AP for CR1, he was going to get it! But you know what?
You cannot relaxed until that VISA IS IN HAND.

Took passport Monday, Nov 3, 2008 and had to come back again (nothing is ever easy with these people) Tuesday, Nov 4th.

We did it Baby. Welcome Home!

Embassy Review : The last time my husband went to the consulate was March 27, 2008 for the K3 visa. After receiving AP, we waited 10 days and got the call. Visa for K3 in hand 12 days after AP. Thank God, the interview was long waiting to be seen but once seen, very short and the CO was not at all interested in additional proof. He didnt feel anyone was "overly friendly".
THE SAME DAY WE GOT THE K3, WE GOT INTERVIEW FOR CR1
Like a balloon being deflated!
On May 15, 2008 interview for CR1 came and at advice of our attorney we stayed to get this green card. I was hesitant to pass up this visa in hand, but at the interview, they cancelled K3 and proceeded with CR1...mind you, my lawyer tried the month before to have him interviewed for CR1 instead of K3...they declined that motion.
So, we thought there was NO WAY to be put in AP again for CR1...we just got the visa in hand for K3..but here we are again
CR1 and AP
we dont know if this is ever going to end....the waiting and not knowing is truly killing us little by little.
I think we are near the end but it is 15 days now and no word
we are just praying....I would say this consulate is not so bad but IMMIGRATION PROCESS ITSELF....SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

POE Review: Philadelphia
Event Description
Entry Date : 2008-11-13
Embassy Review : Finally arriving into the United States.
I was so worried about him and how much time it was going to take but it was quick and painless. It took him only 20 - 30 mins from the time he stepped off the plane until the time I saw him.

One of the immigration security officer/workers came out and asked me who I was waiting for. I told him my husband's name and he told me I looked worried and not to. He is fine and shouldn't be much longer. What I didn't know is that Tarik was inside a room right across from the reception area and he had told that man to find me and tell me everything was fine.

All in all his flight from Maroc to Paris. Paris to Philly went smooth.
It was his first international flight and he did so well. Baby, I am so glad you are home

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
