Woo-hoo! I am so excited that I passed my citizenship test and that my oath ceremony will be August 10. I think the drive to Fresno was longer than my actual interview. LOL. After my oath ceremony I will be applying for my fiancés I-129f and then hopefully he will be here with his family by next year.

Here is what happened at the interview:

Got called in for test. Gave the officer my GC and CA ID. Then I read a sentence and wrote California has the most people. Passed both of those. Then the questions:

1. What is an amendment?

2. Who can veto bills?

3. what is the supreme law of the land?

4. who did the US fight in WWII?

5. what is the capital of california?

* I think there was a sixth, but I cannot remember right now. I was kinda nervous. I passed the questions too.

THen I went back to the waiting room and waited to be called for the interview.

I was called in by Officer Chance Chong.

He told me to swear under oath to tell the whole truth, I did. then the questions began. He asked me about my stepdad, who petitioned my sister and I along with my mom. He wanted to know where I was born, and I could tell he was giving me wrong answers to see if I was telling the truth about what I put on my N400. EX: "where were you born? Me: Mexico. Him: Tijuana, Mexico? Me: no, Michoacan, mexico. Him: Morelia then. Me: no, apatzingan." It was kinda intimidating and made feel uneasy, but I guess that is there job. Not to make you feel uneasy, but to see if you are telling the truth. Well, he then asked me if I was going to petition anyone, and I said, yeah, my fiancé. He then said I was approved and asked if I wanted my oath ceremony next month, that was the earliest date. I said, YEAH.

Called my love and told him the great news. Been excited ever since! JEJEJE. I can't contain myself with all this happiness. I texted everyone in my contacts the good news.

Thanks everyone for all the comments! My mother and daughter will be with me at the oath ceremony. There might be a possible party at my house later on. I still haven't decided if I want to celebrate with a party or just family dinner. ok....maybe a small party with my family, but then again with the number of people in my family it might just be a huge party. JEJEJE. :jest:

Congratulations - how nice that you now get to petition for your fiancee! Good luck to you both.
