:crying: I am so sick of waiting. I check my mail, email, USCIS website, Igor's list and Visa journey like a maniac. I go through all of these multiple times a day. Is this wait really suppose to be this hard :(

Ditto to that..as I do the same. Just stay positive, and since your almost there maybe you should give it a rest for a day or two as far as checking. Think of it this way all of sudden you check your email and it will be a wonderful surprise you got approved :). The thing is the closer you get the more anxious you get. Just don't worry and stay positive.

Hopefully you get your NOA2 soon. Looks like you're in the estimated time. :) I'm guessing ours will come on August 31st, which would also be the same day my fiancee and I initially met. I know once that time comes, I'll be thinking every minute about getting the NOA2.

I think most of us go through it.

This process strikes me as similar to childbirth (not that I've had children): It's painful while going through it, but in the end, it's worth it & you forget most of the pain.

Thankfully, I'll never have to worry personally about giving birth... but I hear that it's much like passing a watermelon through your nostril.

Waiting on the K-1 petition IS difficult, si man, and it nearly drove me cuckoo. Do whatever it takes to distract yourself in a positive way (violent exercise, cheating at cards, pulling the legs off ants & putting them in water & watching them sink, or other productive societal avenues), and the wait will end. Study the next steps in the process (consular interview, first) and prepare yourself. You can do it, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I noticed that also and was excited to move up about 20+ places! I think what happened was that it has been updated to show that CSC is taking 5 months to process K-1's and it had previously been showing 6 months. Therefore, all those people between 01.15 - 02.16 were moved down to the 'Still waiting for NOA2 from CSC K-1 I-129F up to 3 months beyond the CSC processing time (2009-02-15)'

Wow August?

I am a month behind your NOA 1 and my timeline is saying I should expect December.... what a difference a month makes

Why are you going crazy when people from your month haven't even started to be approved yet? You will drive yourself crazy if you do what you are doing and you shouldn't. It took 6.5 months for my case to be processed. You need to calm down and tell yourself that it's going to take 6 months. So maybe hope for some news for late September. If it comes earlier it'll be a nice present. If not, you were expecting it to go that way anyway.

Sounds like you're looking at the older version of Igor's list. You'll see different numbers if you look at the latest version (Immigration Timelines - Igor's list). I used to have links to both in my signature, but I'm finally past that step.

I still use the older list...

Yesterday was the 15th and it looks like some older names that had been in there many months were removed. That caused numbers to drop fairly dramatically. The estimated adjudication timelines didn't move dramatically based on that.

Seems like perhaps it does a purge twice a month - on the 15th and the 1st. Keeps some names off the system when they have been approved, but just didn't update the timeline. Of course we know some are still waiting (poor Sara and others). But overall, it's the only way they can keep names from staying there forever.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list
