Hello All, I have been married and living here in the Philippines for the past 3 years, I have a PR Status here in the Philippines and now its time to take my family back to Michigan and I will be filling a DCF and have a few questions on the forms:

On the I-130

on line 2 asking for my address: do I use my Michigan address or my address here in the Philippines?

The same question for the I-864

on line 13 asking for my Place of Residence: Michigan or Philippine address?

on line 15 asking Country of Domicile: Philippines or USA?

I read a post that it takes about 5 months start to finish when filling a DCF in Manila, I also have been told that I can file a I-129F and it will cut the waiting time, does anyone know the time frame if you file a I-129F

Thank You ALL in advance

Note the address you list on your I864 will depend on if you have returned to the states or not when you file it. For example, when I filed my I-130 DCF, I was obviously still overseas. But, by the time I was required to file my I-864, I had already returned to the US to start a job, so I of course listed my US address.

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

I agree that the following answer is correct:

i130-Philippines

line 13: Philippines

line 15: USA

That's what we did and we have the visa.

For the question of what address to use in the US, I used my parents address that is also on my US driver license, credit card bills, voter registration, bank accounts, library card, etc... You will need to show that you have maintained your US domicile and therefore, all the bills/registrations listed above were also used to show that I have maintained a domicile in the US.

If you don't have such an address and/or have not maintained any credit cards, driver license, bank accounts etc.... I recommend to ask your family or friends if you could use their address (make sure you trust them - your spouse's green card gets sent to this address later on). You'll need to work on re-establishing domicile in the US....
