The larger the age gap, especially if the sponsor is "elderly" or infirm, may generate a fraud investigation. One of the most common frauds on the part of the petitioner is to bring in a live-in caregiver on a K-1 visa. Just make sure your bonafides are squared away, and you should have no problem.

This is a very heated, controversial topic that often ends up in a locked thread. As others have said a couple with a large age disparity will be scrutinized more than a couple without one... you may believe this is age discrimination but it's reality. With that being said many couples with significant age differences have been successful in getting a visa, so it's absolutely feasible.

I see. . Thank you soOOOO!

Does it really matter when it come to interview at USEM? Would the consol give you a hardtime about it?

HELPPPP!!!!!!!

42 years age difference? well if you can proof it that really you love him for who he is, it should be.

but you have to proof it to CO not VJs, be ready for tough questions from the CO.

one last thing which you or no one like to be asked is: How old is your fiance? How old is your Dad?

you have to proof is that marriage is not because of GC or immigiration visa

Hey, if my opinion is "stupid #######" than don't ask for it next time.

The original question was not whether or not you think large age gap relationships are gross, but rather whether or not a large age gap might be an issue at the time of a K1 interview. If you must opine, it would be best if you kept to the actual topic.

I dont think i really understand your question. are you asking something about the age difference and if that impacts your interview at the embassy?

or whether it matters when the case arrives at the embassy and how old you are then?

I think the question is pretty plain. Would the consol at the US Embassy take the age difference as a factor. After reading many American Chinese sites I would think.............. NO, if you are a rich American. Most of those men are older, rich, and want much younger Chinese wives. They get them. They buy them essentially.

Did you buy your Chinese wife? Another generalization from an expert.

Why would love have to do anything with age?? Not speaking of the USCIS finding it weird but in general. If theyre happy, who are you to judge that? Only one is allowed to judge and that is God. Let them live their life. Theyre asking que stions, let them be. Give them an answer to their questions or stay out of the thread. Keep your personal opinions to yourself. Ï've dated someone once that could've been my father but why do others care?

There's a saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, Don't say anything"

Good luck with everything
