pweettyy,

I don't suppose that you have a younger sister, perchance? (Just kidding!)

The consular officer will probably be skeptical but age gap is not a valid basis for rejection. In any case, I hope that your fiance is in extraordinary physical condition and stays that way for a few more decades.

Good luck

well, in that case, as long as you can prove a bonafide marriage that should be fine.

they will not have any questions as long as you dont make them doubt anything

Ayyyt!

Thanks superrr much!

God bless you.

Age is just a number. It does not impact the visa.

Ayyttt!

Thank you soOOoo!

xoxo

if only one visit to actually meet each other then yes it could be a problem. make sure to get more visits before the interview. be prepared to answer any questions regarding the big age difference, get all of your evidence of relationship in order....

Thanks!

i disagree with u USAGROOM

i think people fall in love.... BTW how much u paid for ur bride?

My bride to be is the same age as me. I did not pay for a wife, jerk.

I never said anything about love or Pinos. I was very specific. BTW, how much did you pay for your bride who is young enough to give you great grandchildren?

Hope you are happy.

Chill out guys!!!!

never expected someone could ever post a comments like that after they were blessed and passed through their visa journey. . Isnt it possible to be thankful to God and be someone to give good advices rather hitting words????

I love this 65 year old MAN. . and will always forever. .

It shouldn't, but unfortunately it all too often does.

Letz see some statistics to back your claim, plz. Nowhere in USCIS petition/visa requirements does it mention age as a exclusionary factor in petitioning a person of majority age.

Please re-read my sentence. It SHOULDN'T but unfortunately, all too often it DOES. Legally, age difference is not a basis to refuse granting a visa. However, it is very often a red flag, especially from certain countries.

OP: You and your fiance will have to prepare for possible greater scrutiny at the consular level. Prepare for your interview. Make sure you can answer questions truthfully about each other. Have prepared evidence of your bona fide relationship. There are others on VJ with similar age differences who can help guide you.

My personal opinion doesn't matter about the relationship. Neither does the opinion of anyone else on here. What the OP needs is anecdotal information, not judgment.

Good luck.

Being a 42 year age difference I would make sure you have a good petition package and have lots of proof/evidence of a true relationship for her to bring to the interview. There is a 32 year age difference between me and my wife. I was worried about it but I had a very good petition package and loads of evidence of a true relationship and I had made more than 1 trip to the Phils to be with my fiancee.

Our age difference was never mentioned at the interview.

Good luck

I just hope and pray that our age difference will never be mention at the interview. Everything is possible with GOD. .

Anyhow, thank you soOOoo much! And surely we will prepare every single detail and proof we have. .

God bless you! You are blessed, she is a filipina.

and you are right, I need information thats why I am posting a question. . not a judgement. . Because I am inlove, and nobody can change that. .

I just hope everybody here can understand that. . and instead of judging me. . . just be thankful to GOD because you are blessed and done with your VISA JOURNEY. .

I dont think i really understand your question. are you asking something about the age difference and if that impacts your interview at the embassy?

or whether it matters when the case arrives at the embassy and how old you are then?

...i think pweetty asked about the big age gap of the two people:-), well, it don't matter or affect the interview at USEM, what most important is they love and understand each other. so, goodluck to them!

65 and 23 is a suspicious age difference. I don't want to hear about love being the most important. It is important but a 42 year age difference is suspicious.

Im just curious, what do most people, and especially COs, consideer a "big age difference" 5 years? 10? 15? 20? 30+?
