hello everyone, please, someone who can explain well.

My wife and I knows each other from 2003, she was intruduced to me by my auntie who is her co-worker and I am working in Saudi Arabia since January 2001. We spent almost 5 years of our relationship without seeing each other. We had the plan to meet each other by 2007 but we didn't because it's hard for her to get a replacement in the Hospital but we made it on June 2008 when I resigned to my previous job in Saudi and that was the first time we saw each other. Due to the time limit for she has only 31 days to stay in the Philippines, we made everything rushed just to get married and also I got my new job in Saudi once again and anytime soon I will be leaving to Saudi. We got married on July 11,2008. July 27 was her return to the States and the date that I will be leaving to Saudi Arabia.

We didn't spend much time with each other during our stay in the Philippines, do you think it will be a problem during the application of my petition?

dont worry so much :) just make sure all your papers in order, and also start collecting everything that can prove the bonifide-ness of your relationship during the interview (which can include chatlogs, emails, cards/snail letters/packages u sent each other over the years etc etc)

yep. married my husband first time he came here. he spent 3 weeks here.

you have more history with your husband in terms of years of courtship,

just make sure you line all your ducks and prepare documents properly.

i'm waiting for interview schedule and we have managed to keep our papers in order for USCIS and NVC, didn't have problems about quick marriage. don't know about the interview but i'm positive i'll survive.

good luck!

life is too short to live very true... we have choices in life..good or bad....

we will always commit mistake..but the important thing there is we learned from every mistake.

and if you feel that this person is for you..and you want to spend the rest of your life with that person

and you are happy with your decision go for it!

success of a relationship cannot be measured on how long you've been

together or how you really know this person.. at the end of the day.. whatever people will say

it's your say that matters most..

like the saying goes" laugh and people will laugh at you...cry and you cry alone"

I am concerned about the interview, we met online in January 2008, and intense hours every day until i went August 2008, and we were planning to see "how it goes" I was prepared to be married or to not be married. Then within minutes of meeting for the first time I knew I wanted to marry. So we got married about 2 weeks later and it is not much time, and I know that we are right to marry she knows it, I will present material showing this, and in my opinion we have slam dunk bona-fide I hope they see it as clear!!

I did not front load I-130, My lawyer prepared the material and never even suggested front loading. I know strangee things happen in interview but you be sure and you show what you know to be true and you should sail through!

Good luck and don't forget to breathe :)

I went to PHIL for 30 days because thats the only days I can get off from the army, we did rushed everything and nicely talked to some people to take their seats for small fee for the required class/seminars. WE made on time, got married, 3 days honeymoons, she stayed in PHILS and I went back to US, filed her paperwork and 10 months later she is here with me.... the 10 months later was kinda s@#! but she is here now for good.

The real thing is that as long as you have enough evidence of a relationship, no body can tell you anything different. Not even the Embassy can tell you if you are right or wrong and no body can measure a relationship base on the time you spend together getting to know each other. Love is crazy and can surprise anyone at any time and distance (with the internet) is history. I met my wife online and I'm so proud of it that I can say that finally I found my soul mate.

Good luck to everyone!!!

Hmm! Nice to know I'm not the only one here who married on first meeting. In our case, the interview was so quick and I wasn't even asked about it. But even if we'd been asked, the truth is we'd known each other for almost 10 years without meeting, so it was just so natural to marry when we finally got together. We have been inseparable ever since!

Just gather all the evidence you can. Be truthful and relaxed. Don't volunteer more information than you are asked. in other words, don't tell a novella. Just answer simply and honestly. Make sure they see how in love you are! It helps if your SO can be present in the USEM premises too.
