Hi all,

Just joined and wanted to say hello. I heard about VJ at another forum (RMP) and thought I'd stop in and check things out here.

I live in CT (much too close to "The Evil Empire" for this BoSox fan) with my Russian sweetie Irina. We've been together now for a little more than a year. She has been in the US since 2001 (she has her GC) and was just getting the big D when we met.

After a month long holiday in her home town last July, I fell in love with Russia and we're planning to retire there ASAP. This leads me to my first question. Can anyone offer any info/tips/advise on ways to get there for longer than a month or three?

Just so you know, I have traveled to Europe several times and lived in Germany in the 70s while stationed there in the Army. I took off the rose glasses and really observed life there. My income is such that we could live quite comfortably and have extra for whatever (like remodeling Mama's apartment).

Thanks,

Tim

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.
