I had a similar situation. I went in and told the guy that I had a conflict for the day I was scheduled and asked if I could change the date. He said to come back in 30 minutes and see how many people were waiting to be processed. When I came back he let us go ahead with the Biometrics because it wasn't that busy. So if you go in you can at least set up a better time or most likely they will just process you. Good Luck!!

Botevinka - I agree with Winifredbee. My original bio appointment fell on a federal holiday and I wasn't sure whether they would be open that day. So I went in 2 weeks earlier and it turned out that they were going to be open on the holiday, but since I had already driven up there and there were only 2 other people at the time, they just took me in then.

By the way, the ASC I went to wasn't even any type of USCIS or FBI outpost, they are merely private company contractors who do work for the US govt. (They were located in a strip mall!) So I don't think they care as much about the dates.

Hello everyone!

This is the first time I make a post here, as I discovered this web-site just yesterday. Great work! It is so encouraging to read other people's stories, who are going through the same thing as us, very interesting! I am now happy to be part of this community!

As you can see in my signature, we sent our application on Jun-16, and yesterday I had my biometrics taken. Everything was very fast, even though I was a little disappointed that no one could answer my questions there. The thing is that me and my husband are planning to go to Ukraine this September, and I was wondering if there is some kind of timeline we can be expecting to have our interview at. I read that it is not recommended to reschedule your interview date, so I want to be sure that we are in the U.S. But I wasn't able to find out at least approximately when we should be expecting our interview date, so we can plan better. Or if it's not possible to predict at all, we might just wait until we get the interview date to book tickets. (The reason why I wanted to book earlier though is because it is much cheaper in advance, as you all know). I would appreciate if any of you could give me any advice as to when the interview could be.

The spreadsheet is very nice, I will add myself to it in a second.

Thank you for all your help, and good luck to everyone!

Natasha

Panna,

Welcome! You could look at the threads for March, April, May filers for AOS to see what has happened with their interviews. I think it takes about 2 months but I am not too sure. It does vary from case to case. Some do not need interviews. Air fare is pretty low right now so you could make the reservations and pay the change fee if needed...but that would depend on what kind of deal you get. Good Luck!!

Love your photo. The little kitten looks like our cat Mini. We brought her back to the States with us from Nicaragua. She is a calico and was only 5 weeks when she came running into our house.

Thank you for your "welcomes"!!

And thank you for your advice, I do start to lean towards the idea of waiting for the letter to arrive with our interview date, and then booking a ticket. Saving some money on a ticket, but having to worry all the time about a possible problem with an interview date is not worth it for me. :)

I just found this photo on the Internet, there are not many things in the world that are cuter that little kittens in my opinion! :)

I love calicos, there are very sweet. How did she take the trip? We have a hard time getting our cat to the vet sometimes, I couldnt imagine her on the airplane!

I just got back from the Biometrics office in our area ( I tried to make a walk-in because the fingerprints are scheduled on the same day with my wedding reception). I used all my charm :innocent: , but they didn't let me do my biometrics earlier and told my to reschedule my appointment ( you know for a later date  )-. I am so very mad right now :crying: knowing that so many people did their walk-ins without any complication, some of them without any reason . Why do they treat us as second hand people  ?

So ladies & gentlemen Fort Worth biometrics office sucks :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Botevinka, I had the same bio office...lol...the one in the mall at Fort Worth. I tried to do a walk in but a member on VJ advised me not to because apparently they don't take walk-ins. Sorry about that, i hope you didn't have to drive for long to get there. I also noticed that the office was really empty, it probably had like 3 people the whole time i was there. The good thing is that it only takes 10min to get it done.

Nada...it has been quiet for us ever since the beginning transfer to CSC and biometric updates. I must assume no news is good news at this point!!
