I just checked to see what was up with my case and noticed a touch. I hope it is just the transfer and not a RFE.

It looks like the file was transferred once again...

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office.

This doesn't look like another transfer to me. I read this as confirmation that your file was received in California.

Yes. The file was received at the CSC and is now in their system, that's why it says it's now pending at the office. The email before must have said it was transferred to California.

Good luck

That is exactly what the email before said.....this is the same sequence you had?

Hope all of you that just recently filed AOS can help me out here. I could have sworn that we were required to send in proof of bonifide relationship like common bills, house rental/purchase agreements, medical insurance, etc. when filing the I-485 for AOS. When I read the form instructions and the guides here in VJ today, it doesn't mention anything about those things being needed for filing. Did I misread something before or was that requirement deleted? Maybe it's just required to bring those items for the interview? I'm confused.

I need to file my daughter's AOS for K-2 and was going to send in school enrollment records with address information, photographs of family, medical insurance cards, etc. but not sure if I should do that now. Any information on this would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Scott

My understanding about the proof of relationship for the AOS is that it is optional. Some people do it, some do not. Your right it is not in the instructions but you may have heard people taking about it here on VJ. I sent nothing in but what was required in the instructions. My case was transfered to CSC a few days ago but I have not heard anything more so I am assuming that all is well. I don't think sending things will hurt you but you could opt to save it for the interview. Good Luck!

I also didn't send any proof of our marriage/relationship. I thought it was only necessary at the interview. I'm not that worried about it.

Hi to all,

I am intruder here in June filers, but I want some help here with regards in I-693. Reading the forums, there are civil surgeons asking to do the whole medical examination process. I live in New Hampshire and the nearest Civil Surgeon here is in Nashua & Colebrook. Does anyone here done his/her vaccination near at this area? Because I just want to know if they can just do the vaccination only not the whole medical examination processing but still transcribe the vaccination to I-693.

Thank you very much.

We received RFE today for the Medical Exam grrrr. It's two pages, the first one says "In order to process your application further, you need to submit a properly completed and signed form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination record for the applicant on Form I-485." The second page says "You failed to submit proper documentation of immunization for the Form i-485 applicant. In order to process your application further, you need to submit a properly completed Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record."

Is there a difference in these two? Sounds like we need to do a medical exam, since we only submitted DS-3025 and apparently they lost the original exam that got transferred from Guatemala...since the directions implicitely say if you came on a Fiance Visa and your Medical Exam is less than 1 year old than you don't have to submit anything. This is frustrating. What were you guys' experiences with the medical exam? Did you have to pay hundreds or how did it work for you all?

Bummer...sorry to hear about the RFE. I think that the form I-693 is all you need for the I-485. You only need to get the vaccinations. If you have the information from the previous medical you can get the doctor to just do the vaccinations and do the supplemental form. I paid 150 or so but the full medical was 355, if I remember correctly. Good Luck and keep us posted. I do think that if you have had all the vaccinations you may just need the doctor here in the states to fill out the section of the I-693 stating that this is the case. The medical stuff is so frustrating because it is a bit inconsistent.

So I called the NCSC at 1-800-375-5283 this morning to find out why we got a RFE (actually it's an RIE Request for Initial Evidence) for a medical exam and vaccination supplement when Josue came on K-1 and the directions on the I-485 (which the RIE actually refers to) say: If you are a K-1 fiance or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiance visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report.

So the woman put me on hold for a while and came back and told me we needed to get to a civil surgeon and get it transferred, that we did not need a new medical. I had read here on VJ and she did recommend that we write a letter with the facts - that he came on a K-1 visa, got the medical exam within a year, etc. I saw on VJ that we should even send a copy of his K-1 visa with the packet - easy to do! Hopefully that will be sufficient and we won't get a denial, since they don't resend another one for the same thing once we have responded.

The closest Field Office is 3:15 away so not worth it to go for them to tell us the same thing. Hope this works!

I think what they are wanting is for you to get your DS3025 transcribe to a I-693. I would give them exactly what they ask for.
