Hi!

A friend came to the States with a K1 (fiancée) visa. She got married and started the AOS process. She told me that she received her green card on the mail WITHOUT the interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! She told me they were very surprised, but the lawyer told them that sometimes is possible... did you know this was possible???

All this immigration thing is... ppffffffffff... so frustrating and unfair!!

GOOD LUCK!

Yes - it's possible - no red flags, plenty of evidence submitted - case is granted.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Yes - it's possible - no red flags, plenty of evidence submitted - case is granted.

Again, the I-485 requires NO relationship evidence, we followed the guide, and were approved without interview.

Evidence comes into play at an AOS interview and/or when removing conditions.

Note: From looking at timeline data K-3s tend to be interviewed, and anyone adjusting from a visa other than a K-Visa ALWAYS get interviewed.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I also was approved for GC without interview. I think k visa applicants are easier to approve because they came into the US intending to marry the USC who petitioned for them, and it would be strange if they approved the I-129F and K Visa and then denyed the AOS, if they married the I-129F petitioner within the 90 days permitted.

My son did not get an interview. He adjusted from a tourist visa. His file was transfered to CSC and he was approved quite quickly actually.

Yes, it is even not very unusual. Probably 30% or so get the green card with no interview. We had an interview, but no questions, no request to show evidence. Just called in and told it was approved, this happens in another fairly good percentage of cases.
