There's more to the story than the his age and the fact that he has been in the US long time. Just because a person is old now and has been in the US a long time doesn't mean that he should not have to face his past. Justice is blind to that.

israel has existed in the Holy Land for over 3000 years, with brief absences.

That's a rather biased if not inaccurate assessment since they are arguing over nations (or would-be nations) not races.

no argument. i acknowledge that there have been civilian casualties on both sides of the conflict. i would also point out that the palestinian side has repeatedly been caught exaggerating civilian losses, to the point of showing the same persons in multiple scenes as though they were different victims.

palestine has also adopted a mode of conflict without uniforms or adherence to the "rules of war" acknowledged by civilised nations. they, like other islamics, hide military persons and equipment in mosques, which westerners see as places of worship, but which are really so much more to an islamic. they also dress men as women and use "human sheilds" around rocket launching sites, with full knowledge that the sites will be bombed. they locate these sites deliberately on the roofs of hospitals and schools.

any political organisation that adopts such policy is welcoming such collateral damage. the collateral damage is useful in propoganda against the uninformed, but touches not the cynical observer. the impartial viewer places blame for the collateral damage where it belongs, at the feet of the non-traditional aggressors who have created it by violating the rules of war.
