I-751: What is the average number of pages sent in application?

We understand everyone’s different circumstances and documents mailed with I-751 application – but what is the average number of pages included with application?

Following the I-751 instructions, we have gathered cca 150 pages.

Is this too much? Should we try to reduce number of pages?

What envelope should we use to mail such a thick file?

i dont have that much... if im not mistaken i think mine was 36 pages? or more... but it didnt reach to 50 pages that's for sure... and we use the usps envelope (the blue express mail)

We sent 260 pages......

I guess I over-do things sometimes. I just kept thinking of more things to send....

Oh, and we used one of those tyvek envelopes. I checked the USCIS website, and it seems they prefer you use the ACCO fasteners, as well as tabs on the bottom of the pages to separate the 'sections'.

We had over 300 pages to show evidence of 4 years of marriage. 150 should be fine. Make sure that your evidence covers all the years of your marriage. Good luck.

We sent in ALOT of evidence as well. Not sure how many pages, but the package weighed 4lbs!

Kathryn is correct in stating it should span all the years of your marriage.

We can easily add 150 more pages to cover all 4 years of marriage - but USCIS I-751 instructions asking evidence for 2 years.

It's not necessary to include a (bank) statement for every month. 2 to 3 statements per year should be fine. Same goes for utility bills etc.

To answer your initial question, we submitted a total of 208 pages. I have to add though that we included 2 leases with each lease consisting of about 20 pages.

Our package is headed towards 60 pages.

No magic formula, we are using just two statements from the bank, plus a little additional bank evidence from late last month showing online account summary and with our debit cards copied to the bottom. Personally I think 3 or more bank statements per year seems like overkill, but then we probably went with overkill on things that seemed important to us!

The important thing, I think, is looking at what you are sending and feeling comfortable it paints a complete picture of the time since your AOS was approved.

Our package already has 153 pages ready to go, and I have a few more things to do yet (like calling bank for them to send me a statement about our joint accounts and credit cards). I figure it will be around 160-170 pages once ready to send. Only a few more weeks!

I guess it doesn't matter how many pages you submit; it depends on the contents of the evidence. I was been worried because I submitted less than 30 pages, I guess it's only around 26 pages. I used three phone bills (just showing our names; I didn't bother to include all pages), copies of our marriage certificate, my hospital bills that my husband paid, his DL & my state ID, our passports, our daughter's BC, joint store credit cards, 2007 & 2008 tax returns, IRS mailers, life insurance and retirement plan of my husband designating me as beneficiary, stamped envelopes addressed to us and 13 pictures. We don't have joint lease contract, joint health insurance, joint bank accounts joint utility bills nor joint car ownership.

My husband told me over and over again that it depends on the contents and how you present it. I think he is right; because I just got my approval letter today - in 67 days!

Thruout the entire immigration process I went by "More ammo the better". Worked for us.

Our I-751 was about 1 1/2" thick.

I'll do the same for the N-400 submission.

MOST important thing is to have it neat, orderly and easy to read.

Well, I imagine if they look through a packet where things have been forgotten, then they spend time to send an RFE, receive the RFE packet, find the original submission and add the RFE papers, then look it over a second time, it could actually slow the process for everyone (not just that couple) even more. I don't know that they would sit there and read through hundreds of pages. I imagine they flip through and just check for things like the fact that the bills spanned the entire time frame, things like that. My son was curious what we were sending when he saw that big pile of papers, so I showed him - just flipped through the tabbed sections, and said "here's our drivers licenses, here's the deed for the house, here are pictures we took..." etc. I did it kind of in detail (he's a curious kid) and it took about 10 minutes. I'm sure they look at some things for a little longer, but it's probably like it was for the visa interview. My SO took several thick binders, and they just sort of scanned through to see the gist of what was in there. I think when they saw that we had a whole binder of pictures, and they scanned through, they were happy enough. I agree with others who say it's most important to be organized, and show things over time. I think presentation is almost as important as substance.

Just my take on things.
