That's because back in the days it used to be green and since then people call it like that, you should say "I got my residence card" yay!!!

06/26/09 - Letter saying case transfered to Cali.

08/08/09 - Residence Card in Mail! Yuuupiiiiiii.

You were supposed to hand the EAD in at your interview as far as I know. But no there is no further use for it, your GC does everything the EAD did and more.

11/18/08 - Arrived in U.S. on B2 visa

02/05/09 - Extended return plane ticket to stay for an extra 3 months

04/23/09 - Decided we didn't want to be apart even though we extended the stay and got married!

04/30/09 - Sent I-130/I-485/I-765 from B2 (no I-693 as it is not yet complete.)

05/03/09 - Received email form USPS stating that package had arrived safely and was signed for!

05/11/09 - Received NOA1's for I-130/I-485/I-765

05/16/09 - Received Biometrics Appointment

05/30/09 - Received a CRAZY amount of RFE's that were dated 05/21/09

06/01/09 - Biometrics Appointment Scheduled. In and out in 10 minutes!! Sent off RFE information (Should arrive in MO on Wed.)

06/03/09 - USCIS received RFE response

07/23/09 - I called to have a service request put in

07/24/09 - I-765 Touched (FINALLY)

07/25/09 - I-765 CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!!!!! (About time!)

08/03/09 - EAD card came in the mail WOOHOO!!!

08/07/09 - Interview letter arrived

09/02/09 - Interview Date

09/07/09 - I think this is the day I received my Green Card.. Can't quite remember anymore.

08/03/11 - WOW it's already been TWO years! Sent ROC package to VSC.

So its been a while since I have posted anything on here....kinda getting worried as to why we are still waiting on a green card. We did biometrics back in june and it was transfered the same day as we had the biometrics. We have had one touch since then (look at our timeline....) but its been quiet since we have started this whole process.

Should we call them at all???

I mean we started back in end of May and I really think we are the last ones left in May without a green card yet. :/

Any suggestions as we have been waiting for 4 months now (and yes I know 6 is the norm but I've seen everyone else in May get their green cards)

hi everyone.....i received my green card last saturday....yey......i m so relieved now......no more USCIS for a while....

you all might already know this......but even if you receive your green card for 10 years.....you still have to get the condition removed after 2 years......if you dont' do that...you'r gonna have problems while applying for citizenship.....so don't forget tht.....

also just bringing up something i heard recently:

1) never ever "register to vote"....you know when u go to get your driver's license, and b4 taking your picture, they ask you series of questions....one of them is "would you like to register to vote".....always reply "NO"....a person i know was deported because his answer was yes......so don't make tht mistake....

2) save all the traffic violation tickets and proof of payments between your green card and citizenship period....they may ask for it during citizenship interview......

Good Luck to those who are still waiting for your green card.....

skparker.....i used to be as restless as you.....so i can't advice you to take it easy coz i know how it feels......but the fact is, there's nothing u can do.....all u can do is wait......you may try calling, but that's not gonna change anything.....i really hope tht u hear from them soon....good luck.......

No, you're not the only ones without GC. We finally got an RFE. Part of it was really stupid (see my previous posts re: morons who don't know what a marriage certificate is). We send our evidence back and it arrived yesterday. Keeping our fingers crossed.

just want to share to everyone that i just receive a letter of approval for my residency card and it was stated in the letter to expect my green card within 30 days but to my surprise...my husband woke me up with an envelope on hand and when i opened it it was my residency card! very fast! :dance:
