When I got home from the vet today there was a letter from USDHS and I thought great more bad news. I was right of course it was saying I had to wait another 60 days blah blah blah and I was in a bad mood. I thought it was wrong so I checked the website and I had been touched, AGAIN today!

So I checked what it said annnnnnd

On July 25, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Woohoo. I wish I remembered the name of the man I spoke to so I could thank him I am so happy I finally got it! I was told by many on here that a service request wouldn't help and I am so glad I didn't listen!! While VJ is a great resource we all need to know that the information is not always correct.

Hey congratulations!!!! I am happy for you that you finally got the EAD!!!!

Our case was forwarded to CSC the same day our biometrics apt was done...still says that they have received and the case is pending.

In other news...my husband got his IL drivers license on the 18th and started his new job on monday. :) Yesterday they asked him to bring proof that he is a legal immigrant and can legally work. noooo problemoooo

======================================================================

Anyone know the reason why some peoples gets forwarded to CSC and some people have to go through a interview process first???

My theory is that K-1 filers already had one interview in their countries so they made sure the relationship is real cause of all the evidence sent (chat log, phone bills, pic etc etc) plus they know the person has not been in this country illegally. But they interview people who are already here on F-1 B etc etc. and then get married and file.

But I think people who came on k-1 will still get an interview before removal of conditions. We'll see.

OH ALMOST FORGOT : CONGRATZ ALOE I KNOW HOW DESPERATE YOU WERE!

Good luck,

Hello all.

Great news!. We went to our AOS interview today, and we were approved! WOO HOO   SO relieved to be done with USCIS for almost 2 years *WHEW*

So, our experience....

We got there for our 9 am appointment, there were a lot of people there waiting. It took almost an hour for them to finally call our names. So, the interviewer started by asking us to raise our hands and swear to tell the truth, asked to see our ID's then asked my husband what his full address was, phone number, SSN (which he doesn't know yet by heart). Then he asked to see my BC, asked if we had children, how many times we had been married before. Then asked how we met, how many times we had traveled to each others country, the dates of those travels. Asked to see our proof of relationship (we had a joint bank statement, our joint car title, and pictures). We talked a bit more just sort of conversationally and then he said that he was going to approve our application and explained when we would be filing to remove the conditions. And that was it.....like I said, SOOOOOO happy and relieved to be done for a few years.

Oh, and also got an e-mail from CRIS that my hubby's GC production was ordered today =)

So, good luck to everyone....may your next steps on this visa journey be swift and easy!!!

thanks =) Nope, no stamp...do some get stamps??

Yay! Congratulations!!:dance: Did they say anything about the I-693 or TB skin test at the interview?

Thank you as well =) No, neither one. Hubby didn't have to have a TB test at his medical, just a blood test. And I'm thinking that he didn't need to submit an I-693...or it was in the sealed envelope and they got it already.

You aren't alone in your confusion! I also didnt send in an I-693 with my application. I looked into the form further and saw that it states if you are a K-1 applicant then there are only certain parts of the form that need to be filled in and unfortunately it is the vaccination and certification by a doctor. As many people here have sought the help of Dr. Arnold in Texas, as he is reasonable ($30 per I-693), I decided that to have this form completed may be an easier option than to go to the interview and they request it and I am approved pending the I-693. That was my personal decision, some people I have heard were not required to produce this form. The turn-around for Dr. Arnold is 2 working days from receipt, just for your information.

Hope everything goes well for you in this final stage, however you decide to approach it.
