We passed our interview today in San Diego, our IO looked over a couple photos, and asked us some simple quesions. The entire process was less than 10 min!!! :dance:

He said she was approved, and that she will be receiving her GC within 2 weeks.

One question, he didnt keep her passport from Brazil.

Should he have kept it? Or is this cool?

Congratulations! Hubby and I had our interview last week in Dallas, and they didn't keep anything of ours either. Now anxiously awaiting letter/GC, as we were told we were approved. :)

Congratulations! No, they don't keep the passport - nothing in the passport is relevant for the AOS. You will receive the green card (which is white, hehehe) shortly in the mail and that is proof of permanent residence status in the US.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
