We recived our NAO2 on 4/6 after 192 days...so happy!! Still waiting for hard copy. I m curious...does USCIS update online things like when NVC receives and when NVC sends out, when Embassy receives, when packet 3 is sent out, etc?

Thanks everyone!!

YOu can ignore it. Our NOA dates were January 22nd and Trisha is in the US and we have our NOAs for the AOS/EAD. Yet USCIS' website still says that the I-130 and I-129f are still pending.

Don't count on it...as I am sure everyone else has said already. We got our NOA2 at the end of January and our case still says pending on the USCIS website!!

Ours did update, and it continued to show touches up until the last which was the day it left VSC and was sent to NVC.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

CRIS is a system hosted by the USCIS, an agency contained within the Department of Homeland Security

NVC and Consulates are contained within the Department of State...

Now you will understand where and why the updating ceases

YMMV

I didn't see any further update from the USCIS website from the day they forwarded the petition to the NVC. But I received my fiance received a letter from NVC 9 days later and and I received a letter from the embassy 7 days later.. :)

MY K1 EXPERIENCE blog...click on this link..

My K1 visa has already been approved. I had been really frustrated to find more info about K1 when we were still under the process. Some blogs have been useful. Now, that I completed the K1 process, I wish to share my own experience. So click on the link if you need more info about K1. The blog includes the requirements, med exams, questions on the interview, CFO and more. I hope that it will help. Thanks. Cheers and good luck.. :)

Agreed. USCIS/CRIS is Homeland Security. NVC is Department of State. USCIS will not update their online case status system to reflect your NVC status. If you are curious, you call NVC. Their phone number is on the travel.state.gov website. Have fun!
