Hi people

I really need some help.

I am come on sunday March 29 at dulles airport (mine POE). First police officcer take that yellow ( brown ) envelope from me, open that and after checking the content, take fingerprints and take photo of me and sent me to other officcer. There was also other people waiting. After some time that second police officer call my name and i was approach to the desk. So he is open that envelop, check is all documentation inside and sort that on the table. He is put stamps on some documents, wrote couple numbers on them also. He is also put some number on my I-94 ( number starting with A letter- probably alien number). So after that he is return to me only my passport with that I-94 inside . And when i am asking from him documentation that i need to get he say that all that documentatiom that i am give to him in that yellow envelope will be sent to USCIS.

My question now is: is that normal that i am get nothing from him? I am read here on site that people are get medical exams results back when they finish that procedure on POE. So it will be a problemm in further part of AOS because he is take all my documentation at POE , and if that will be a problem what i need to do.

Thank you in advance

Normal. When you file AOS they retrieve your "A" file from storage and all your documents 9including the POE packet) are there for them to review if needed. The only thing that is truly needed for the AOS is the medical exam.

From the country where I came from, the accredited clinic where I had my medical exam gave me a copy of vaccine documentation which is needed for applying AOS. In my POE(Detroit, MI) they gave me another copy of that vaccine documentation and my passport with I-94.

As long as you have a copy of your vaccination record given by the accredited clinic in your country, that passport with I-94 given in your POE is fine.

Yes, what happened to you at the Port of Entry was exactly what was supposed to happen. The 'police' officers are not police - they are border officials from Customs and Immigration. They are the ones who are supposed to open up your envelope, check to make sure everything inside is correct, take your fingerprints and photograph and then issue you the I-94 stapled into your passport. The I-94 will have a date on it - you need to get married before that date to fulfill the conditions of your K-1 visa. Next, they will send everything from your envelope on to the right office of the USCIS so that it is waiting for you when you complete your next stage of the immigration journey - the Adjustment of Status (AOS).

Part of the AOS is getting a medical form completed by a Civil Surgeon (doctor authorized by Immigration to do immigration medicals and medical paperwork) showing that all of your vaccinations are completed. That is what you need to submit with your AOS, not the medical that was in your envelope. You need to have the information about your vaccination history available, and that was written down when you had your medical exam in your own country. Some doctors provide a photocopy of that page of the medical to be used in the AOS - and some don't. If yours did not, then you will need to provide the doctor here in the US with the same evidence of your vaccinations that you gave to your doctor back home, plus any new information about additional vaccinations you have done here in the US. It is very seldom that the border officials will give you a copy of that page so that is normal as well.

Welcome to America - I hope you and your sweetheart are very happy together. Good luck with the rest of your immigration journey.

Thank you all people for those answers.

I was just afraid because i am not get copy of those vaccinations record. That all was packed in that envelope from the embassy, because clinic where i have that exam in my country sent all that medical package directly to embassy.

So i have not any oportunity to make copy of anything from that package. And that like you say immigrations officcer is take all from that envelope giving to me only that A number on my I-94 and no others documents or copy of any of them.

So all documentation about medical exam including vaccination record was in glued envelope and now i have nothing of that.

It will be some problemm now because of that i have not any copy of mine vaccination record? Do i need to call my familly members that they sent to me here in USA copy of those documents that i was give to that doctor on local clinic in my country to make that vaccinations record?

Thank once more time for all of you.

U r ok Bosnian. No wonder you thought them to be police officer. You shd be ok as the medical records are with They way they remain in uniform looks like all that are getting down from the plane are nothing but Burglers and Terrorists. Too funny actually. Typical Border official with a gun thinks himself a God to the the one who are passing thru the gate and maintain high temper. :jest::rofl:

I agree to Kathryn : "Some doctors provide a photocopy of that page of the medical to be used in the AOS - and some don't. Enjoy your journey here.

Thank you people.

I know that those oficcers are from customs but they have the same unifiorms like other police officers.

Can anyone please say to me if there will be a problem if i have not that vaccination documentation by me now, because noone is not give a copy of that to me (not clinic where i have that exam and also that immigration officer).

Or i need to call my familly that they sent to me that documentation on which that doctor is make that vaccination record during medical exam.

Thank you once more time.

Yes, ask your family to send you your medical and vaccination records. You may need to arrange for them to be translated as well - I don't know if that would be easier done back in Bosnia or here in the US. The US doctor, however, will need to know what they say. Good luck.

Like i see from couple last answers from all of you someone was make a mistake, and that was not me.

In that clinic where i am done that medical exam (clinic aproved from US embassy in Bosnia) are sent whole medical package directly to embassy in officiall way (so i was not be able to make any copy of that), then people from embassy after finished interview are packed that in yellow envelope glued with tape ( saying can be openen only by US customs on envelope), and then that smart customs officer was take whole package from me giving me nothing except A number on my I-94.

I am asking him there that i need to get some documents from him but after traveling almost 15 hours and issue with my lagguage (they are loosing somewhere my lagguage, but luckilly i am keep small bag with that yellow envelope in plane with me) i can not remember what that need to be, and i really can not to argue with him there, :( and explain to him what he need to give to me, because i am thinking that he knows what he need to do.

I have at home only documentation about my vaccination ( those so called medical records in small book) and with me here I have that chest X-ray.

So if that will be enough or i need to pay again here to some US doctor for exam because those birocrats are make that mistake with those records.

Thank you in advance

Many people have successfully adjusted there status if the Ds-3025 was prepared by the foreign clinic and was included in the exam package....

You can submit your AOS package without vaccination records and wait to see if the DS-3025 was included... if it was you should be good, if not then you will receive a notice and then you need to supply the requested information....

Hi people

I am come on sunday March 29 at dulles airport (mine POE). Not a problem, perfectly normal. Those were customs and immigration officials, not police officers. The file will be sent to the USCIS office to await your AOS filing.

Good luck

They took my wife's doc's too and say they'll forward it to USCIS. I hope so.

They "said" I could get the I-130 too if I wrote across the top; Dual processing requested. But they aproved my I-130 and I-129F the same day and sat on the I-130 forcing me to Adjust Status with the I-129F route. So, I am not positive they forwarded the docs at all.

If it has been less than a year they know you had a medical exam (records forwarded?) and you just need the Vaccination Supplimental. Ours was $55, she had all her vaccinations in Thailand. So for the medical inside 1 year you need;

I-693 Part 1 Information, Part 2 Vaccination (supplemental),
