Ok - I see we are to bring all the documents and stuff listed on the letter. One of those being the medical. We didn't get a RFE, nor did we send in the form for the medical (just a copy of the paper he was given when he had the medical for his K1 in October)... Do we need to complete it? (our current doctor is a civil surgeon per USCIS - actually I picked him because of that and really good reviews! ;) )

Your question is a little confusing, so I need more information to answer it. When did you have your medical? Is it less than one year old, you can either try to take your DS-3025 copy of your vaccination sheet and hand it in, or go to an USCIS approved civil surgeon who transcribes your vaccinations onto the I-693 for (hopefully) little money. Did you send anything regarding the medical you had with your AOS?

Will do that now. Congratulations

Did he have all the vaccinations completed when he came here? If no, you have to get the missing shots and take all his vaccination records to an USCIS approved civil surgeon to have it transcribed. Did they ask for a FULL medical in the letter? It might be that they have lost your K1 medical and you need to get a full new one. That just happened to Terri & Seb, who were transferred to California and received a RFE a couple of weeks ago. If in doubt, try to call the local office.

This is a question that I was wondering, but on the interview letter it does say if applicable after this statement. Now I would think that since you needed to submit or there needs to be a current I-693 on file to even get an interview you would not need to bring it or complete a new medical. It does say to bring in your AOS package you originally sent at the end of listed documents, hence this would have any medical information if you needed. Our interview is in one week so I will see if this is a factor at this point. Of course I could be wrong, but for some reason it seems that if there is a current one on file a new one is not needed (on file means before your SO entered the country) unless it is expired. Let me know your thoughts Chibby.

If he's already had a medical exam prior to the interview at the Consulate, and if he has all required vaccinations (and documentation to prove that has been submitted), then I don't believe he'll need anything else in regard to the I-693. My wife already had the med exam just prior to the interview, and she just submitted the I-693 supplement (vaccinations) with her I-485. She also didn't get an RFE, and the interview has been scheduled. We're operating under the assumption that all necessary medical exam/vaccination record documentation has been completed and submitted. Just my opinion......good luck!

Well since I didn't have an interview, I can't really say too much about it. But I think you are right with your assumption. Also, if there was something wrong with any documents you handed in, they would have sent you a RFE beforehand. Like you said, you already handed in the vaccination worksheet or the I-693 so you meet the requirements for the medical section (unless you're medical is older than one year at the time you send the AOS). I think the little "if applicable after this statement" makes the whole case here, it's not applicable, so I wouldn't worry. And IF you're lacking anything at the time of the interview, I think they give you a chance to hand in stuff afterwards. I'm not a 100% sure about that, but I think I saw it in somebodies timeline or thread.
