Happy Summer To all our Northern Hemisphere friends and of course on the Southern Side Winter!

It's stinkin hot here in Tucson... 105 plus the humidity is building. 20%, but remember it's a dry heat.

What are you doing to celebrate?

I'm having a wine and cheese party at our Local Stonehenge to watch the sunset, and welcome those summer rains.

Well, it's time for my quarterly goat sacrifice, along with dancing around naked and praising my Lord Satan.....

ROFL!

Gotta love stereotypes.

The naked part might be true though.

Honestly, since I don't follow a "ceremonial" path, I'll probably just spend some time outside with my trees and plants, but not until it's cooled off a bit. Bloody hot right now (and humid).

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

While still in Canada friends and I celebrated both the Winter and the Summer Solstices with parties. The winter Solstice party had only white and green food while the summer solstice was multicoloured food. We rang bells and talked about getting naked at the winter solstice (too darn cold, though) to get the sun's attention and remind it to return, and at the summer solstice we always had a barbeque and bonfire. We usually danced around the bonfire- although not naked - especially after a few drinks - and because it kept the mosquitoes off (VBG). We also had birthday cake for myself and another friend as her birthday was the 21st and mine was the 20th and the solstice fell on one of our birthdays. We took care to let people know that our attentions were successful since after every winter solstice the sun did begin to stay for longer in the sky and summer eventually returned. Happy Solstice everyone!
