Greetings!

Just got the NOA1 a couple of weeks ago and wondering what is usual waiting time for the NOA2? If anyone knows the web address where to check the status of the application PLEASE post.

Thanks!!!

Go to USCIS.COM and create a account for yourself Click on the On Line Status, and go from there to creat your account.

As for NOA 2, there is no true answer. Both VSC and CSC is posting 6 months for processing. Good Lucl

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Right now you're looking at (on average) 121 days for CSC (California Service Center) and 191 days for VSC (Vermont Service Center). Days between NOA1 and NOA2/Approval.

Dear Karin und Otto!

What does "Touched" mean on your documents dates list?

Thanks!!!

Touched basically means whenever they hold your file. Usually a touch insures an impending approval but a touch can also simply means they are moving your file from one shelf to another.

Please as others have suggested go to USCIS.com and register your name and your USCIS case number, so that you can check the progress of your petition.

After you register at uscis a touch is when you log in to your page and the "last updated" heading has changed from the date you got your noa1 to any later date and so forth, each later date you see is another 'touch'.

I've seen people here get approval in as little as 2 months, but that's only step one in the process. Best wishes to you and yours.

Peace,

Mariah

All kinds of things can hold up processing a petition but we've actually seen SOME recent filings making it through pretty fast, from 35 to 50 days. The current averages are calculated over a longer period of time, so it takes them some time to come down.
