Hi!

I'm not sure what kind of information you should post in here, but I'll give it a try anyway :). I'm Geist's husband, I'm 24 years old and I held a double master's degree one in political science and a second one in economics. I'm originally from Pori, Finland, a small city with around 80,000 people. I currently reside in Turku, Finland, a medium sized city with 180,000 people. I belong to the rare breed of Swedish-speaking Finns, who today have an endangered conservation status :). In my case it only means that I speak equally poorly both Swedish and Finnish but at least it should make me twice as much Scandinavian :). We're currently going for a CR-1 visa and my guesses are that I will be ready to emigrate around the first weeks of November :).

Kiva kun muutkin suomalaiset ehtii riipustella. Lykkyä viisumin kanssa. Millä mielellä oot muuttamassa? Entä missä vaiheessa teidän viisumin haku on?

Viisumi on CR-1 (valtavalla todennäköisyydellä), koska mentiin naimisiin n. 14 kuukautta sitten.

Muuttoprosessi on jo alkanut siinä mielessä, että olemme pikkuhiljaa kuljettaneet osan tavaroistani New Hampshireen. Tällä hetkellä ehkä 1/3 tavaroistani on siellä, 2/3 on Suomessa. Ajattelin lentää viimeisen lentoni Atlantin yli Iceland Airin businessluokassa, jolloin pystyisin kantamaan yhteensä 82 kiloa tavaraa, muuten joudun tyytymään 52 kiloon, jolloin en saisi kaikkia tavaroitani New Hampshireen kuljettamalla, vaan osa olisi pakko lähettää rahtina perässä :(.

Yhdysvaltalainen kulttuuri on hyvin pitkälti Suomen kulttuurin kaltaista. Onneksi olen löytänyt New Hampshiresta yrityksen joka makeuttaa virvoitusjuomansa ruokosokerilla :P.

Meksikosta tuoduissa tuotteissa on myos oikeaa sokeria eika HFCS:aa.

Omat paperit on hakemuksissa... itse olen edelleen jumissa Irlannissa, mies USAssa. Onneksi on taas vaihteeksi tyo jossa viihdyn.

Sorry Mr and Mrs Bird.. was just a quick to the previous poster. :)

You must be quite excited to be getting soon all the papers to be finally together.. any news since the earlier post on the page? I can't even imagine how long mine will take... probably until next year, or even more likely to just get a job transfer. Oh boy.

And hi - I think I've been away for a while, probably forgot to just pop in and say hi. So a big hi to you and your Dane - or would that be hej in Danish?

Meksikosta tuoduissa tuotteissa on myos oikeaa sokeria eika HFCS:aa.

Vaimoni kutsuu minua termillä "ridicilously over educated", eikä todellakaan halua että jään Suomeen opintojen tähden edes yhdeksi ylimääräiseksi päiväksi :).

Omat paperit on hakemuksissa... itse olen edelleen jumissa Irlannissa, mies USAssa. Onneksi on taas vaihteeksi tyo jossa viihdyn.

Sorry I am out. Don't understand your language. I am from Denmark
