My husband's stressing about taking the PA test, I don't have my drivers license and he says it's alarming he learned American roads from a person who doesn't drive. The stop signs are the tricky part for him.

Damian&Kelly, you guys are getting alot of visa action, you guys are blowing by me.. i have nothing since april 30th which was when they first put the papers up on the uscis site. its soo disappointing to see someone from philly getting all this action and me nothing. :crying:

I got my AP yesterday not that I am planning any travels yet however I have a question, on top of my photograph there is a signature of a man "Richard Cowan". My husband thought they made a mistake and put someone's signature on top of my picture. I suspect Richard Cowan has something to do with USCIS? Does anyone have any input on that or does everyone else with their AP have the same signature as me?

Thanks!

Same as mine. But the name is Robert M. Cowan, not Richard and he is probably someone from USCIS.

Something should happen very soon for you 2!! I know it!

How close to Philly do you live? Because I was reading reviews of the Philly interviews and most the people who get interviewed for AOS in Philly live quite close.

We live 2.5 hours away from Philly so I figured being on a k-1 and being so far, we wouldn't have an interview. or maybe it's just a fluke that everyone who wrote reviews were all less than an hour away.

Just stay positive!

We dont live as far away as you guys to drive to aston is like 45 minutes from where i live. i would say we live an hour if that from philly, nothing super big like you guys. But im just anxious to see something. Another member predicted this week for us too, so we will see what happens.

Yes, it has a number but it's the same as the receipt # that you already have, then your A# (alien number) is also indicated in the card.

And YES, your EAD is on it's way now.

Hope you can get the job. Good luck!

Some of you are very lucky.

And some of us are very concerned... we have no info, no touch, no transfer, nothing.

Our AP case number doesn't even show up on the USCIS web site. The AOS and EAD case numbers don't show activity since April 13.

We just got a while back a letter telling us to go for the interview on June 30th.

We need the AP to travel in July, and of course the EAD ASAP for work.

How do you guys get all this info, like "card production" and "approval dates" if the web site shows nothing?

By the way, the USCIS shows our K-1 application as still being processed, so I think we have been shut out from web site updates since the very beginning.

And for all of you who are still waiting like us, does the foreign fiance/spouse had any 'bad' history with the immigration office? Angela sure does (short overstay of a tourist visa a few years back) and I am wondering if they put our files on the "wait and make them sweat" pile ;)

Anything we can do to speed up things?

Our Timeline below - CA Service Center - Consulate: Rio de Janeiro - Local Office: San Jose, CA

October 5, 2006: We meet for the first time!

March 8, 2008: I-129F K1-Fiancee Visa Application mailed

October 27, 2008: K1 VISA RECEIVED !! (233 days - 7 MONTHS 19 DAYS)

January 17, 2009: Entry - POE: JFK w/EAD (315 days)

February 6, 2009: WEDDING! (335 days)

March 24, 2009: Sent AOS, EAD, AP package to Chicago Lock box (381 days - 1 YEAR 16 DAYS)

June 30, 2009: Interview in San Jose, CA (479 days) - NOT approved, Sworn statement required

AUGUST 14, 2009: GREEN CARD IN HAND (524 days - 1 YEAR 5 MONTHS 6 DAYS)

May 31, 2011: Sent I-751 Removal of Conditions package (1179 days - 3 YEARS 2 MONTHS 23 DAYS)

January 25, 2012: 10-Year Green Card Received (1418 days - 3 YEARS 10 MONTHS 17 DAYS)
