Thanks, I am a quiet one....didn't post much, but I assure you I was on this website everyday reading you all's post in which helped with my sanity. Now I'm just trying to figure out what next and how to find out if my file is at the NVC or if they are finish with it....i'm kinda clueless. :unsure:

Call the NVC at 603 334-0700 on Monday. The automated system will not recognize your EAC receipt number if you filed K1...so you have to speak to a representative. The rep should be able to give you a new case number for the Consulate you will be using and a status update with NVC.

After it leaves NVC you can get updates from this number as well about updates with the Consulate/Embassy (Department of State 202-663-1225 press 1 and then 0 make sure you have your new case number ready. This number can tell you the status of your DS-230 and interview date.)

I hope this helps a little. Do you have the DS-230, Part 1 completed? If not, start working on it now.

Thanks for the info, I am the petitioner so you are saying that I have to fill out an DS-230? and send to whom? who usually sends this form to the petitioner in order to complete? Thanks

You can get the form online and fill it out. Your fiance will need to sign it and turn it in to the consulate for the interview to be scheduled. Actually it will come in Packet 3 from the embassy to your fiance. You may need to check the guides for the best info on your next step.

Jan 19, 2010 ~~ Reply to RFE delivered to Lee's Summit, MO @ 5:03 PM signed for by "C BUCHHOLZ"

Jan 20, 2010 ~~ USCIS acknowledged receipt of RFE on I-485 only

Jan 22, 2010 ~~ I-131 AP and I-765 EAD approved (email notice on 1/25/10)

Jan 28, 2010 ~~ USCIS email that I-485 was transferred to CSC on 1/26/10

Jan 30, 2010 ~~ Received EAD and AP via US Postal Service

Feb 01, 2010 ~~ Received notification of case transfer via USPS

May 07, 2010 ~~ Email notification that card production ordered for 1-485

Jun 01, 2010 ~~ Greencard finally arrives w/approval date 2/23/10 (Huh??)

Done until November 25, 2011!!!

Yeah know there is some good news to the delay in receiving the snail mail approval, in that, maybe by the time we (you) actually receive the NOA2 the file will already be out of the NVC and either at or on the way to the Embassy! (Richard, the glass runneth over kind of guy)
