@Nessa: If he is still exclusively breastfed I would not worry a bit. If you have started feeding solids/rice cereal I would just monitor. Even adults go a day or so without pooping so it's nothing out of the ordinary but if it lasts 3 days or so (and you have started feeding solids) then I'd probably think about going to see a pediatrician. If he is exclusively breastfed I'd watch him for a week or so and see if he poops. Allie was a once-a-week-pooper when she was little like Ben.

Hi there!.

Just stopped by to say hi, my little girl is 2 and she is a lot of work!.

I wanted to recommend you to use a binder right at the hospital if you had a c-section, and use it for a long time. My sister is a doctor and as soon as I was up she requested a binder to the nurse and the hospital provided it. She said you better not take it out, and now I thank her for that advice.

Now I still use some made by flexees they are really helpful. I am skinny but the belly is hard to get rid of.

And after been a mom I don't know if you have the same problem but I cannot miss lunch time or break or dinner, before getting pregnant I could hold it but now my stomach just starts screaming for food its horrible! and the worst is that it's been two years! :(

Take care all.

I don't understand. What binder do you get at the hospital? You get it after a C/S?

@ Nessa: Ditto what Evi said. Breastfed babies can go 7 days without pooping. If you do rice cereal, cut it out for now or watch it, cause it is really constipating.

Don't worry about all the body issues. Like chnst said, being too skinny sucks as much as being overweight. I'm constantly tired, weak, catch every cold there is - I have been sick with a flu now for nearly 2 weeks! I was never ever that sick before. My face looks like a commercial for donate food to the poor - my cheek bones are sticking out cause my face fat is missing. I do think all of this is temporary and will fall into place again when Jona eats more solids and sleeps better. A healthy normal weight would be wonderful, I envy Eveline!!!!

BTW, I am so proud. Jona eats one container Yobaby per day. And he even likes it! Yeah! We still give him iron drops... Anyone who does too? They stain horribly and not even spot cleaning it with Clorox helps. Any ideas?

:jest: Very funny I didn't know the name of it before, but its an elastic band that you can wrap around your waist and has plastics strings inside to hold it straight, just like taht underwear that flatten the tummy. I am sorry my english is not perfect so I am trying to explain it the best I can.

You get it after the c-section. Or got to Macy's Kohls or whatever store and get one of those underpants who have those things in the center that you snap and can adjust to your waist size.

thanks everybody. he's ebf now. he'll start on the formula next week, it'll more breast milk than formula, though. my boss told me today that i should try to feed him formula this weekend a couple times, instead of waiting and let people at daycare do it. what do u guys think?

@chuchita: i couldn't imagine using something tight to my belly after a cs. that must've hurt.

@anna: i hope you feel better soon. i didn't want to offend you, i guess unless we go through something like that it's hard to ubderstand - i'm talking about being too thin and not in a healthy way. the only thing i can tell u guys is to eat high cal food that's not loaded with bad fat. fruits like avocado that has good fat, mangoes, for example. or go ahead and have some cheesecake and pizza for me :P great that Jona ate the whole container :)

i'm so jealous

You and me both Nessa. I'm finding it terribly hard to lose any weight. I'm pumping like crazy since the boys are still too small to bf well. Everyone keeps telling me the weight will just melt away if I keep it up. I'm not seeing it. I haven't lost any weight in 3 wks. I'm getting really, really discouraged. I still can't fit into any of my fat clothes much less my pre-pregnancy clothes. At this rate I'll be wearing my maternity clothes back to work when I go back. I'm not even eating that much during the day. I usually have cereal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, and a normal supper. Still, I'm losing nothing. I know there is no way I'm taking in over the amount of calories I should be for bf'ing two babies. So, so discouraged.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

@ Nessa: No offense taken. One of my best friends tends to gain easily and looses it only with great afford. We always joked one should combine us to reach a normal person ;)

@ Booty: The first weeks/months I was fine weight-wise and didn't loose really. It hit me at 6 months. My sister's midwife in Germany said: it takes 9 months to grow the baby/belly/fat, it takes 9 months to loose it. It was true for my sister, who was back at normal weight after 9 months. She had no troubles with loosing to little or too much weight. But her kiddo started chomping down food at 6 months, and I mean he ate a ton. I was amazed seeing it since it is so hard for Jona to eat (and he weighs like 25 pounds on breastmilk only).

Sofia have been pooping all day long yesterday, everytime I changed her diaper it was dirty and sometimes with a little green in it, weird.

She is taking a nap so I can have some me time she is being great the only thing is that now she is going to sleep at 3am!!! used to be 1am and now it changed :crying:

Girls I didn't mention that I strugle with my weight for years, I've tried so many different diets since I was 14 until I was 19, 5 years of my life trying all different crazy diets or techniques to loose weight, and I wasn't overweight at all, waste of time. The solution to it was to exercise and eat healthy, seriosly, I heard that all the time but never really paid attention to it but that's the answer. During that crazy stage of my life I didn't eat carbs at all (bread, rice, you name it) I was crazy and driving my poor parents crazy too. It was a trainer at the gym that brainwashed me for good and I started eating healthy again and exercise, that was the key.

Forget diets! just eat healthy, doesn't mean that you can't have ice cream or cake or a little junk from time to time.

@booty: you'll lose eventually, don't get discouraged. i don't velieve all that ''the weight will melt if u bf'' i don't think so. ok, here's an advice i read the other day for us frustrated with the weight that seems to never come off, it was something like:

''whenever you feel frustrated about the way you look, go to a mirror, holding your baby and look at the 2 of you together. it's all worthy''

@anna: love the pics. so cute reading the newspaper.

Oh boy...I don't envy you skinny skinny girls....I never had weight problems. I gained a little during puberty. Most I have ever weighed was when I was an aupair at 21 years old, I was 146#. Now - 6 years later - after two kids I'm 130lbs. Big part of my weight (I'm 5'7") is located up north in the Ds

yeah i have to agree diets suck, no matter for what purpose- gaining or losing weight.

Thank God I can eat whatever I want. If it makes you feel any better though- you ladies just had your babies not long ago, at this point you could play the accordeon even on my belly. It really is true- 9 months up, 9 months down. Don't get too discouraged. There were a few weeks when I thought i will never lose the baby weight (I gained almost 50 lbs!!!) It was all gone very fast, but my body really started going back to normal around 9 months (hips and boobies)

@Anna: yay finally some new Jona pics! He is so big!! was that in Germany?
