I will worry, I don't think this is going to help - I want the government to recognize there are some things they can't fix. However, if we do go into a depression, there will be millions of people who will require some form of assistance, or welcome to the age of the third world US. Is that what you want?

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

The important number is this:

GDP: 14.3 trillion

We are only at about 10% of our GDP so far. Other countries have spent much more relative to their GDP in the past to get out of a recession.

Far more concerned about taxes right now than death, but death seems to be the easy way out. Just can't believe what our government puts us through each year, 1,025 different IRS forms? Is that really necessary? How about death to the IRS?

Wait till China recalls some loans to the US, or forces lump payments. US would equal death. Good thing we have spouses from different countries, we can always claim citizenship somewhere else.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I agree, this is scary stuff

On that score those figures don't include the $$$ claimed in welfare benefits from the rising number of unemployed.

Our claims continue to increase daily and we just laid off 210 elibibility technicians so line staff are doing more with a lot less.

You're a little off there. Ok, you're way off but yes other countries blew more money compared to their economy but not all increased government spending guarantees an end to recession.

"Current Federal Government debt as a percent of GDP stands at 40% or $5.8 trillion."
