Dear Mr. Hall:

I just wanted to share the recent update I received on the new I 129F petition form which was pending at the Office of Management and Budget. USCIS has informed us that the new form should be approved by the OMB office this week. Once the form is approved, you will be required to either file a new Form I 129F, or a Request for Evidence will be sent out, in order to collect the required data in compliance with IMBRA. USCIS hopes to have the guidance prepared and sent to the Service Centers in the coming weeks. I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any questions, please give me a call in the Senator’s Burlington office at 863-2525.

Which means things will not be rolling for another month. Oh my... Let's see. If they look at mine by the end of July (good luck!), then maybe the Natl Service Center will get it by the end of August...

I know. It sucks to make plans, right? I also needed to change a lot in my life. I´m sorry.

I think even though it might take a few weeks to prepare the guidance, it would be great to receive a new form or any RFE next week.

Running slow at this point is not as bad as not going anywhere.

I also think when they say loose timelines like that is so they don´t compromise it and have to put up with us calling them in desperation. I think this will happen sooner, before June is over, really. We know for a fact that the OMB approved the petition this past week.

sigh at least this somehow is good news. we know something is being done and i hope we all get our RFE's ... so weird... we all hope and pray that we dont get RFE's when we initially submitted our petitions and now that's almost what we are all waiting for... ironic...

Thanks for sharing that info - it's nice to see your senator's office is competent and helpful (unlike mine who decided to tell me that I'm lucky since some people get name hits that can keep them in limbo for up to a year - like I needed that info?)

Let's keep our fingers crossed that they send out the new forms or RFE this week so we can all send it back fast. Then, hopefully, they will pick up where they left off, according to the original order!

You are not affected since you filed long before March 6. Have you contacted them regarding your long wait time? On May 26 you were at 120 days - isn't that the date when you have permission from the gods to contact them and ask them what the hold up is about?

You are not affected since you filed long before March 6. Have you contacted them regarding your long wait time? On May 26 you were at 120 days - isn't that the date when you have permission from the gods to contact them and ask them what the hold up is about?

Actually no. 120 days holds no significance. Your NOA1 must have been 30 days prior to the 'date being processed' on the web site.

It is good to know that your congressmen responded with some sort of, if not vague, knowledge. All the office I had contact with basically had no idea what I was talking about.....

...of course, that was via phone, off I go to email.....
