Approved! I130 NOA2 in 101 days...

I am just soo surprised it happened so fast, now I'm not ready with the rest of the papers for NVC....

is this usually the fast part and the rest of the process will take long? I thought it was the opposite. Oh my gosh....

Was anyone else here approved so quickly... maybe because he's from Gaza they took heart on his refugee status, oh hamdleallah... HAMDLEALLAH.

Send Completed I 864 and IV Package (overnight) : 2009-2-4 (had to wait for hubby's PC and original birth certificate to arrive)

Case Completed at NVC : 2009-2-11 !!!!

Medical Completed : March 12, 2009

Interview Date : April 22, 2009. 8 am. VISA APPROVED!!!

Visa in Hand : April 27th, 2008!!! Arrival May 11th! POE JFK

Processing Estimates/Stats : Your I-130 was approved in 101 days from your NOA1 date. NVC completed in 26 days! Interview was 201 days from Noa 1.

Congrats!

no, we waited 8 months for our approval, usually it is CSC spitting them out so quickly. CONGRATS on the speedy approval.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Congrats! I am still shocked I got mine so fast just 5 mos pending at VSC. I am scared about the NVC and Embassy process!

Congratulations!!!

Maybe his situation helped with Gaza. I know the Iraqi petitions were approved in about 2 to 3 weeks at Vermont though I got stuck when I sent my husband's I-130 in because USCIS got backlogged so I had to wait 4 months just to get the NOA1. Then the NOA2 came three weeks later.

Hopefully the rest of your journey will be smooth and easy.

I didn't actually apply for him with refugee status as he was born in Jordan but you know still treated as a refugee there......
