"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Well guys, what did you all get from Santa? Luz got a sewing machine, a rotisserie oven, a SLR digital camera and a picture printer. Robin got a iPod docking station stereo and a heavy punching bag and I got a Blu-ray player, an all in one printer/scanner and some clothes.

I must say I am blown away with the blu-ray. Hooked up to our 50" TV and my 1000W 5.1 stereo the AC/DC concert movie knocks you right out of your chair!! Now Luz is saying she wants the 73" DLP TV and a 7.1 stereo! I married someone that likes electronic toys more than I do!

We are going to start cooking Christmas dinner now, a prime rib roast with baked potatoes and asparagus. After dinner we will settle in to watch some movies and relax. I hope everyone else is having a great Christmas!

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I offered to host Christmas this year for the family, but my mother suggested that we go out for dinner (...not sure how to take that). Oh well--nothing to clean up and more time to focus on genteel wine-sipping!

Sounds like an excellent Christmas, Gary. I've become curious about the Blu-Ray as prices have come down so much over the last year or so.
