oh no :( sorry to heat that. do they say in the email what do they need from you?

but don't worry, I read here that if you send what they want quickly, it won't delay the process significantly - only about 2 weeks.

No... Just like this:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD

On December 24, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. It seems to me that the USCIS is sending an RFE to request for additional evidence within a month of application or before the biometric appointment. Is this the timeline for sending an RFE for USCIS? Is anybody there that had received an RFE after one month and after biometric appointment? Thanks!

Anyways, just let us know what is your RFE about...don't worry as long as you send the evidence right away..you'll be fine...I'm sorry to hear that! Merry christmas and advance happy new year!

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

The biometrics appointment letter that I received mentioned only my name, does my wife (who is the US citizen) needs to go? Is she going to get an appointment later or ever?

Hello December Filers:

We filed Dec. 9. I checked my mailbox a few days ago and we had 6 I-797C NOA's in 6 envelopes.

Two each for I-485, I-765 and I-131. Half were dated Dec 17 and the other half were dated Dec 18.

I am sure every thing is OK but it's just a little odd.

Good luck to everyone!

Hello everyone, I am pretty new here. I just got my appointment for Biometrics on Jan 6th! My packet was sent in on Dec 15. I have another question that I am VERY worried about and dont know who to ask this. It porbably needs to be posted in another area, but I dont know where. Its a bit complicated and its about taxes. Where should that be posted? Please include my timeline on the thread, thanks a lot!!! Mayita

Good Morning Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know we recvd our Biometrics appt. leter yesterday (12/27/08) and our appt is (01/06/09). Again, if someone could update our spreadsheet for me, I would appreciate it. I checked our access to it and I still can't get in.

QUESTION: Do you get an NOA1 different from the Biometrics appt. The form we recvd states it's a NOA, however it only had our appt time, date and place. It didn't really say that 'we have recvd your application for ...'. Is it normal to recieve the appt letter prior to our NOA1?

However it did have what I believe to be case numbers for our EAD and 485...it started with an MSC...does anyone know if that's our case number?

I hope this post makes sense...as you can see I am a little confused!

Thanks for any help you can give! Have a bless-ed day!

Gill

You should get NOA's for each application you sent in (AoS, EAD, AP) PLUS the biometrics appointment letter. Some people have been getting all 4 on the same day

and others get the biometrics letter on a different day from the other 3. Each one will have a different MSC number (case#). You can enter each one on the USCIS

site to track each one's individual progress.

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment
