I would have attempted to make the pud as well if I had realised how hard it would be to buy - will try next year. Just didn't trust myself to attempt so close to Christmas

that night somehow no flights from turkish airlines left for international destinations from istanbul airport. very weird. ohwell. now he's sitting on the floor, playing with the model-rail like a little kid.

are you guys already in the mood for christmas or does it still feel surreal?

doesn't really feel like Christmas to me... but I'm not unhappy about it; at least I got the house decorated in the nick of time

I'm in the mood for Christmas! But I'm home at my mom's in Michigan and there's a foot of snow.

Scott is in NY though. He has to work and is Jewish. This is the first time we've been apart since we got married. You'd think I'd be used to being apart from him... okay, I am... but I still miss him.

It's all okay though, today I'm going shopping with my mom to find her a dress for our wedding. Should be fun.

Although Christmas day is predicted to be the warmest day of the week here in Omaha (at 32F), we've had snow off and on for the past week so we'll be having a white Christmas, which will be nice. Hopefully there will be a little snow on Christmas eve too, so it will be a true white Christmas and not the usual dirty gray Christmas, caused by all the salt and sand on the roads.

Its natural to miss your spouse! Regardless of religion, you still want your loved ones with you for the holidays.

We have lots of snow here, too. I wish I felt festive, but mostly I feel tired. I think I need a good multi-vitamin.

I think you need a good vacation instead of a vitamin! Or maybe just more sleep.

My mom did find a dress! The funny thing is, my mom is pretty cheap, but she assured me she wasn't going to let price be a driving factor with finding a dress. So we didn't even look at prices, and she just bought a dress she loved, and it turns out it was marked way down and was only like $40!!

Totally surreal - I feel like it's just another day, maybe in late Spring as we have nice weather that is a bit crisp as the sun goes down... I can't believe it is Christmas Eve tomorrow...

got bit just below the eye at work today by a husky/lab. So going to have a sore black eye with big red tooth gouge for Christmas!! Just missed my eye by mm's. OUCHIE!!
