yes, in illinois there is always a change in the air..called the midwest.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Can you feel the change already? I was out earlier and there is something magical in the air. Overnight, life seems suddenly better. It's uncanny. I can't wait until January when he takes office. The sky's the limit.

The feeling something has happened is natural for a candidate who has never done anything before. I'm amazed at how the Obama PR machine has built him up into a guy with seemingly supernatural powers. There's no change, no "magic" and life hasn't gotten that much better in the last 24 hours. Obama can't live up to his godlike status or least any negative aspects of his rule will be downplayed by the media and any successes will be seen as the "greatest this or that ever". If the economy worsens, it's Bush's fault, if the economy gets better (it will go up anyway) it will seen as sign of Obama's genius. He can't lose in the first few months with the Democrats in more control of Congress.

Post election day euphoria is natural and inevitably there will come disappointment and delusion. Governement can't be all things to all men. Some people will have some rather big dreams that can't possibly be fulfilled BUT the majority only expect some small measures of change and improvement so the disappointmens will be few and far between.

As I said in another thread, it's all voter' responsiblitiy to ensure that goverment and the WH persue a course that they have suggested they will persue come January. They were voted in on policies, so now it is the electorates responsibility to follow the action and not simply leave 'government' to do its thing. The responsibilities of the electorate are not confined to the ballot box.

The real illusion that some people are holding onto is that there are many here who bought into the "messiah" mythology. Its almost as if they need that delusion to make the "I told you so" seem as sweet if/when Obama falls short of expectation (as he's bound to do in one way or other).

Quite simply - he ran a much better campaign than McCain and he was rewarded for that. It has nothing at all to do with whether Obama will be a great president. Perhaps he will, perhaps he won't. Time will tell.

Have taxes gone up, ALREADY??

The sky's the limit.
Is that Obama's tax policy?

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.
