well, regardlless of who wins..it looks like they are staying and on the road to being citizens

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

It is not rocket science, if US citizens and PR are losing their jobs in this crisis, who do you think is getting layed off first? Undocumented aliens.

i'm not buying that until you can cite a source.

There'd be no source.

They are undocumented.

a news source would be helpful.

Well, people with personal knowledge can also be counted on when the proof is not that easy to come by. Specially one like the proof/sources you request.

so you're saying he associates with illegals?

Good. I like seeing the existing poor, mainly minorities, in this country walked all over so someone can profiteer from this cheap pool of labor.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Come think about it ---- it is true they have not paid much attention to the issue of immigration in general.

That's because most voters probably realize that immigration is not the black/white issue some paint it to be.

That's right, it's brown.

And on the road to joining the ranks of welfare recipients, while millions of new illegals will

promptly take their place in the workforce.

Yeah that's it, ....even if one in four people are pissed about it, there was not a peep in the debates about this topic.

I would say this was the main issue which took my vote out of McCains corner.

Think I will sit this one out.

They are undocumented.

Regardless of the stupid definition these people have entered and are working in another nation without permission to do so.

But

I do not blame them. Immigration and enforcing federal laws is the United States government's responsibility. It is their job to enact laws to punish companies who hire them and punish companies which provided non-essential services to them. Without this the United States immigration system is a joke.

this is the part of the whole thing that steams me. Last year, here in Oklahoma, they passed the infamous House Bill 1804, which was supposed to crack down on people harboring or transporting illegal immigrants, and to make businesses start verifying documents of their employees. this weekend in our local paper was a "One Year Later" article -- here's the part that made me laugh:

One year after its controversial passage, an Oklahoma immigration law has produced only three arrests and one conviction for individuals transporting or concealing illegal immigrants, a Tulsa World investigation shows.

The Tulsa World reviewed court records in all of the state’s 77 counties to find charges using the new law, enacted under House Bill 1804, which took effect Nov. 1, 2007.

The law makes it a felony to transport and harbor illegal immigrants. The law also requires employers and contractors to verify the legal status of their workers to avoid tax penalties or being excluded from government contracts. However, the employer portion of the law is not in effect because of a June 4 injunction ordered by a federal judge in the Western District of U.S. District Court.

What a freaking joke.

Feds dumped it off on the states and the states dumped it off on the employers, corporations in Oklahoma are fighting this, but unclear if it's because they want to hire illegals or if they feel they shouldn't have to enforce the law, feel it's the latter.

In Wisconsin, it's up to the employers as well, but most human resource (what a name, do they also employ monkeys?) to determine if an employee is legal or not, but not really trained for the job, and not sure if someone from the state comes in to check all the records. But the fines are very stiff, much cheaper to hire a legal than have to pay the fines.

The big think, a counterfeit SS card is no longer ample to get or renew a driver's license, from the illegals caught without a driver's license, get a one way ticket to the border with only the clothes on their back, all of their processions are confiscated by the state. So it for this reason, many are leaving, perhaps to another state with less laws.

I feel for these people in a way, but in another way, they are here illegally, most here are very peaceful and hard workers, but quite the opposite in places like Pheonix.

We really do not need more laws from congress on this, already have those laws, but no means to enforce them, how many here have spent five years with the USCIS and a bunch of money, just to do it legally? Spend 99.9% of that time with stressful waiting because they claim they do not have the manpower.

I doubt it. Unless E-Verify was made mandatory and the Dims will never let that happen.

Undocumented? Oh, come on. Talk about bullshit. Every time they get arrested they have pockets full of fraudulent and stolen documents. That is why "illegal alien" is the prefered and most accurate terminology. As I said earlier...some folks can't handle the truth. Jeez!

Quite true. Our concerns will soon be all for naught, the next administration will pass a very lenient immigration reform bill and millions who broke the law will be given a free pass. A big slap in the face to all those who did it legally and followed the rules. You or I would go to jail if we didn't pay a ticket, but fraud and forgery are ok if you are illegal.

Maybe cuz Canadians aren't the problem. It's a no brainer.

80+% of illegal aliens are Hispanic and come through Mexico even if they aren't Mexican. About 57% of illegal aliens are Mexican. Why waste time, money, and effort on Canada when Mexico is the problem. Dope and illegal aliens come from Mexico. What else is new here?

Don't blame the messenger for getting out the message. Geez! Some folks can't accept the truth.

Good point.
