Vasani, any luck/news??

ANY one of the above (VSC March filers with last touches in May for I-130 and probably mid. April for I-129K) got ANYTHING at all yet? I mean, touches, approvals, info from an officer?? anyone talked to the wan#### recently?

PLEASE give us a sign that they are working on us! I'm starting to worry that not even this month we will see ANYTHING.

I tried calling them, but they are closed today....i am desperate and worried, so I'll call them again tomorrow.

Well, so I did call them...nothing but canned responses. The person who answered the call was very nice, but that doesn't cut it anymore. Looks like officers stopped answering calls cuz it seemed to be an operator with very limited information. She basically told me wait until the processing times are caught up and asked me to check online....something I've heard a million times...anyways...I am officially quitting worrying about this. It will happen when it will happen. Anu and I are gonna have learn how to deal with this better. You can't beat this system.

I swear this news is depressing. I've chatted with a few of you on some other threads today about the same subject. Seeing the Feb. NOA 1's that are still pending is enough to make me want a drink.

I wonder if USCIS is gonna put anything new about processing times this week. Is it just me, or does it seem like their posting on processing times gets more cryptic and less easy to comprehend with each update?

I tried to use the argument with the USCIS customer service reps that, because they were showing completions for K3 applications with a Feb 1 08 K3 application date, and it says clearly at the top of the chart that those dates are effective as of July 31, that equals a 6 month window - and shouldn't people who are beyond 6 months (e.g. myself, and many of us) have a right to request a status inquiry?

Well, you can imagine how far I got with that line of reasoning. I'm sure many others have tried the same before me.

NUTS!!

-CJ

I 130 NOA1 - March 28 08 (touched once, 5/9)

I 129f NOA1 - April 4 (touched once, 5/2)

nothing since

We were touched 6/10 &6/11 on the 129f and then 9/26 & 9/27 on the 130.. nothing since

Good luck everyone

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

All you get now a days at uscis are customer reps who as CJ has mentioned give canned responses and direct you to check website for processing dates. I have gotten this for the last 2 wks i've called. As i've said good luck and don't get your hopes up too much. I'm at the point where when it happens it happens, what else can we do? BTW last touches were on 04/14 and 05/08.

I don't know if this interests anyone but I have noticed that the responces with the USCIS differ from when calling the National Customer Service line and the Vermont Service Center. They also gave me different instructions on the petition process. As far as the national customer service goes...they have never given me details about my case but the VSC has. The VSC took my name and number because they could not answer my questions about my case. The officer told me that there was a service center about 25 miles away from his office. Not sure if this means that there are 2 offices in Vermont or what...maybe one for customer service and one that actually reviews the cases...don't know. Thought that was interesting. Anyways...he did call me back. They had looked into my case but it never showed a touch for my cases online.

We're included in this group but haven't seen anything new (No RFE, touches, or anything else). I just don't call them anymore b/c I know that I'll hear the familiar, "We're not outside of the processing..." Hopefully, all of us will get a response this this week. We're praying. I miss my husband so much. It's strange how I never imagined I'd fall in love with someone I'd be separated from for such a long time. Even though I visit him every two months, it's not the same. Plus, it's sooo expensive flying over there--fun, but expensive. Keep us updated. All the best--Amor1

I keep hearing about this "number" for the Vermont Service Center too, yet when someone asks for it, I never see it offered. If someone has this number, I would also like it, because I have tried to get a direct contact for VSC and have run into a brick wall.

You are correct. I guess what I said was not completely true so let me explain in detail what happened. Since I received my RFE1, I tried calling USCIS. The number that is listed on my NOA1 and RFE for the VSC is also the same number listed for the NSC. However, when I called, I would first push the keys to check my case status and then push more keys to speak to a person...which then went to the VSC. The last 2 times that I called...this is what happened but only the last time did I speak to officer Jim with the VSC. Before that the machine said that it was sending me to the VSC and then said that it was busy and forwarded me to the NSC. Again this is what the machine said. However, officer Jim also stated that he was with the VSC. Don't know if this helps anyone or if I just got lucky. Has anyone else had this experience?

Anyways, I wrote 3 of my congressman yesterday. Only Lynn Westmoreland's office called me. I checked my case status today and both of my petitions have been approved! Yeah!

I am certain that more approvals are coming! Hang in there guys and good luck to everyone!

Still, I am curious if anyone else has had the same experience with the phones...anyone?
