nothing yet

8/07 Met on myspace.

5/7/08 Married in Indonesia.

6/4/08 Sent I-130

6/11/08 I-130 received by Vermont service Center.

6/11/10 Received NOA from Vermont.

12/17/08 Touched and placed on hold. (Request For Evidence)

1/12/09 mailed requested evidence 2 Vermont

1/28/09 I-130 APPROVED!

2/9/09 AOS bill received and payed on line the same day.

Never received I-864 package (they don't mail them out anymore I had to take it all from NVC website)

2/20/09 completed and mailed DS-3032

((Some time lapsed because of wrong addresses and documents lost in the mail)) ARRRHG! :-(

3/13/09 Return completed I-864.

3/21/09 Received IV Bill.

3/22/09 Paid IV Bill $400.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
USCIS is unnecessary and a complete freaking waste of everybody's time. What did they do other than waste 7 months of our time and take money?-- because I now have to resubmit the exact same damn information(plus some) to NVC. Apparently there is no connection between USCIS and NVC so USCIS cant simply send our documents to NVC. I was happy to get approved by USCIS but now the process starts all over again only with more complications. Maybe someday I can meet these people in person and thank them face to face for f**ing up almost everything so far. Addresses incorrectly copied, email address repeatedly typed in wrong, names misspelled, ECT, ECT, ECT.
Hows about mandatory drug testing for all who are employed at NVC? All in favor?
Hi there
I am a June filer. I did not get any single touch since 07/07/2008. I might ask my husband to call USCIS after he arrives from visiting us.
I truely hope they really mean by saying that "we should be hearing something soon"
No touches for me.
I don't expect to be approved this year :(
VSC is not working on Cr1/IR1 applications at all (or so it seems).
Any recent approvals are from the transferred applications to CSC.
Hi Frali
I actually feel the same way as you do. I don't want to hope too much but it would be really great if it really happens.
Nothing yet. Checked the USCIS page and our case hasnt been touched since June 20th :(. Is it just VSC moving slow or?
My petition is already with the NVC but we are waiting for my childs petition to go through, so everything can be done at the same time. With my petition it only took 7 weeks from NOA1 until it was approved and I was hoping it would be the same in this case but i guess i shouldnt keep my hopes up to high :unsure:
My Visa journey:
Married August 10, 2007 in NYC
I-130 mailed to VSC via Chicago: March 13, 2008
NOA1 received: March 24, 2008
NOA2 received: May 22, 2008 (Approved yaaaaay!!!)
DS3032 choice of agent generated: June 14, 2008
Mailed Choice of Agent: June 14, 2008 (and emailed the NVC as well with my Choice Of Agent hoping to speed up things a bit)
Hubby received IV bill: June,2008
DS3032 entered the system: June 23, 2008
Thought my child needed the same papers as I did so we petitioned for him and decided to let his papers reac NVC before taking further action, but discovered he is indeed eligible for U.S citizenship- 7 months wasted arrrrrghhh! NOW WE ARE IN A HURRY! :)
AOS and IV fee Paid:xxxx
Receive AOS package
Receive DS230 package:xxxx
Mail DS230 package:xxxx
DS20 entered into system:xxxx
Case Complete: xxxx
Medical:xxxx
Visa Interview:xxxx
Visa Approved:xxxx
Visa in hand:xxxx
POE (JFK airport, New York): xxxx
VSC is currently processing Nov.07 applications. I filed my application in Jan.08 the officer at VSC told me last week to wait another 2 months before a approval. So June filers it could be early 2009 before you would get a approval with the way things are moving at VSC.
Wow !! seven weeks for approval... that's awesome "Ya and Probz" How did that happen ?
I really hope it happens before the end of the year for all of us. I saw on the uscis website that Houston center has now reopened as of Sept 29th. Now I'm not sure if they are handling sponsorship petitions because I read on VJ that a load of Huston's files were xfered to VSC.
I really hope the NOA 2 is soon.
