Our forum is MUCH too quiet...anyone up for a Red Bull? Double espresso? Jolt? Help me out here!

Definately a double espresso for me - too much beer last night.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bummed now  . I read your post in August and thought based on touch you previously got and the reply that you got approval. My Heart skipped a few beats. Now I see your reply that you havent yet. What a let down!! You need to hurry up! your a couple days befor me, so I was thinking you were going to lead the way for us.

Long story short - I'm just lurking here because I hang out in the August thread but I actually applied in September because of mailing issues and I was approved yesterday, that's me, Brian and Sarah. Anyway I thought it might give you some hope cause I think we're one of the first (if not THE first) September filers approved.

Good luck everyone, it's coming soon! :D

I saw a posting yesterday with an email address for Complaints to USCIS, So I thought I would give it a try.

I got a response already.

You will love this:

USCIS-COMPLAINT to me

You have emailed an inactive account.

If you are inquiring about the status of documentation you have filed with USCIS, or have a complaint relating generally to the nature of the customer service you have been provided by USCIS, please use our National Customer Service phone number 1-800-375-5283 or visit our website at www.uscis.gov.

If you are a CIS employee and wish to file a complaint regarding credible allegations of criminal misconduct or of very serious misconduct by a USCIS employee, guidance can be found online at htttp://osi.uscis.dhs.gov/. Credible allegations of minor but significant misconduct should be reported directly to the office where you believe they may have occured.

WORTHLESS! Apparently they had so many complaints they had to shut it down. Just call the drones at the call center I guess.

Wow.... talk about getting the run around.

If you think about it, if you have a legitimate complant, by the time you actually find where to send it or actually get through to someone, you are way more angry for getting the run around to 12 different places. Perhaps they set all the dead ends up themselves just to keep everyone running in circles.

Hello Guys!

It's been like my past time after I finish my school paper or during the break time in my work, I visit this site. I might be too paranoid but it's nice to know that besides me and my bebe ko, many couple like us are waiting for the progress. I am being patient but I want to be in track on what should do time to time.

Anyway, does anybody here experience discrimination from the other people because you have foreign fiance and you meet him/her in this kind of communication? :) I just want to know and get your opinion. This is just for the sake of conversation

:ot::lol::P:bonk:

Regarding your question about discrimination - I think it depends on which part of the US you will live in. Some places (especially larger cities with diverse population) are more tolerant. Generally intollerance is just from ignorance. :bonk: Also, it may depend on appearance. If you are young and your fiance is much older or if you are really pretty and your fiance is not, people may assume your relationship is only for visa reasons to come to the US. Again, many people in the US are ignorant of other cultures and differences, so this is largely just based on their experience (or lack of experience). People also seem to have a lack of tolerance for people that dont speak English - I have actually heard people say something like "if your going to come to this country, speak English" - which is totally ridiculous considering the person they were talking about was a visitor and we dont learn to speak other languages before going to other countries.

I travel around the world, so it is nice to see how other people view things, but it should be noted - in general, people in the rest of the world watch news about the rest of the world, but in the US, mostly our news is just about what is happening in the US. If we see news about other areas, it is biased unfortunately. I guess in the US, there is enough going on for us to think about without considering the rest of the world generally. Sad, but true....

Honestly, it seems to me (just an opinion), that most intolerance is race or religion related - being from the philippines, I dont think you will have too much problem - especially if your English is good.

With all that being said, the US is still a great country, but like every place we have problems and people who are not so tolerant of others. I hope you never experience any problems. :D

how and why did you call and request it to be expedited if you mind me asking?

1st, PLEASE complete your timeline. Thanks

2nd, I am not sure if this was a question for me or not as the post you copied was about discrimination. So here is the general information: If you have more questions, let me know.

USCIS Expedite Criteria

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The criteria are as follows:

  • Severe financial loss to company or individual
  • Extreme emergent situation
  • Humanitarian situation

Like we all don't have those...

  • Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States

How can that be a concern? An organization has nothing to do with a pre-marital relationship.

  • Department of Defense of National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)

We deploy all the time and this still doesn't work. My Army friend was denied expedited services before he went on an 150 day deployment...

  • USCIS error
  • Compelling interest of USCIS
If your case is at a local office at the time you need to make your emergency request, please go to the local office in person to make your request. Please be sure to take all supporting documentation with you.

If your case is at one of our Service Centers or the National Benefits Center, please call customer service at

Hello, Does anyone know what is required for the actual medical in Moscow? I am very confused on what they are going to do to my girl. I know they are taking blood for diseases and HIV etc., but do they do a 'complete' physical on her( if you know what I mean)????????????????:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:

I know to check the posts and general questions, but I am not sure exactly what they will do, Russia is very different than America, in their procedures....

I think I saw something on this recently. Maybe about 20-30 pages ago on the August thread. If I remember correctly, it is a general type physical with the check for HIV etc as you mentioned. She will have to strip, be ex-rayed, something like that. Just to verify she is actually a woman. Apparently that is a problem.
