Well, I was getting excited as I was being touched and people are being approved around my same date. Then they nailed me with an RFE.

The worst part is having to wait to find out what it is.

I'll be able to handle it better if it turns out to be an actual screw up on my part. If it's something that's BS....

Hopefully it won't lengthen the process too much.

Well off to the RFE topic to pine the day away.....

Thanks for letting me rant.

At least things are going now. You'll respond to this RFE and get your process back on track.

It is bad to have an RFE though, after you wait and wait and wait ...

Sorry to hear that, but at least you know that you are being processed and once you know what they want if you get it seen to asap and sent back, you will find yourselves on the go again, good luck

Don't fret about the RFE too much...

I had one a few weeks ago on my 864-a STUPID mistake on my part, as well as unclear instructions on theirs...

In any event, I got the checklist within a week, corrected it that night and sent it off the next morning priority mail. They rec'd it in 2 days, and we're back on track.

Sure it does suck, and it holds things up a bit, but call the NVC and try to find out what's missing. Then, do your legwork as soon as they tell you what you need to fix it. When you have the actual RFE in hand, do your thing and turn it out the same day or the next day.

It happens, and when it does it's a bummer-but keep the faith, be proactive and keep the ball rolling along.

I'm an RFE loser as well, ha!!!! I was disappointed to get the email telling me it is sent but no further info. SO I had to wait, and wait, and wait, only 4 days, so it wasn't that bad. Then it was for info. I didn't even know we messed up on. So, now I wait for my fiance to get the docs. translated this week and hopefully get sent to me via courier so I can get them by next week and get it off to Vermont. Yeah, we are on hold as well. It sucks, but the good thing is we were able to get the docs they needed, whew!!!!

Hang in there, things like this happen and we just have to jump the hoops and do what they want. The end result is soooooooooooooooo worth it all. (L)

It took me almost 10 days to get the RFE after the email. It was all for unnecessary stuff or mistakes on their part. I contacted both senators and my congressman and will try and put the laser dot on them if they keep up in this manner. My congressman was told they received my papers back on 5/9 and it will take up 30 days to process. I pray this is on the high side since it took them 118 days just to send the RFE.

PLEASE notify your politician if they are asking for unnecessary items or items you already sent i.e. they lost them or did not notice them. The only way to insure the system is improved is if our representatives to get good data on where the mistakes are happening.

P.S. For all you people that may be critical of my comments if you think having CSC process in 120 days and the immediate jump to around 60 days or have VSC process in 20 days with the rest of the services so far behind I will say forgo your comments and agree to disagree.
