After 274 days...

it seems we've been waiting FOREVER for this letter! we've been stuck in the waiting game for SO long! our receipt date was August 12, 2005 (although, interestingly, on this new NOA, they have changed our receipt date to August 9, 2005).

anyway... our appointment will be June 20 at 9:30 am!!

now i have to get busy gathering all our documentation!

a couple of questions for those who've gone before:

• do we need a new affadavit of support? (it says unless already submitted, so i'm thinking no?)
  what about employment varification letters?
  according to the officer i spoke to when we were in the office last month for biometrics, we've been waiting for FBI name check. now that we have an appointment, can we assume that they've finished that, or would they schedule an interview prior to the name check being completed?
  how long, typically, from the interview date to issuance of the green card? we can't travel during that interim time, as they'll keep his AP, right? of course, this falls right around the time we have a trip scheduled back to Ireland.

No You don't need another AOS as I filled out an updated one to take to Oksana's interveiw. He told me as long as there were no changes he already had the one we submitted with our packet.

Hey!! Great news!!

Some folks here will probably tell you as it's been a while since you filed to do a new Affidavit of Support. I would at least bring your latest tax return and some pay stubs. You probably won't need them, but if you get questions you'll be covered.

Regarding the name check, you never know if it's done or not.....Wes' still is not. Our officer did not take the EAD and AP since the name check wasn't done.

Regarding how long it takes till the card comes if everything is in order? I've seen everything from 2 weeks to a month.

When we had our interview they asked for a new affadavit because my husband's rate of pay increased and the affadavit we submitted was based on 2004 taxes, so we updated it with 2005.

We were asked for employment letters and 4 most recent paystubs which she added to our file.

when applying for citizenship, do they start counting the 3 years from APPROVAL of AOS, or do they backdate to our application date?
