What if they believe in a different god than yours? They should be forced to eat food they feel disrespects that god? Food that their god told them specifically not to eat?

you know what alex i was talking about guys in prison who had raped and murdered other people.... they shouldn't get special treatment.... I don't care what their religion is....

it has nothing to do with what god they serve or anything... I would feel the same way if Christians had a special diet and they were in prison...

PS, really, humans are incapable of comprehending the unknown. So we make up religion. Then a part of our brains gets activated, and we call it religious feeling. That's how it works. I just admit that I don't know where I come from and I don't really care.

I thought God forgives if you serve him? Honestly I really don't understand. So we should keep people from salvation? Isn't that a sin or something? I don't really know much about sins. Although I bet I'm committing one now or something. But I thought people in prison always get more religious because religion is supposed to be a place where they won't be judged. Guess not.

Maybe weak people. That's what religion is for. Filling a gap humans are too weak-minded to fill themselves.

You know, I pretty much keep my mouth shut about my faith and belief in God on this board. You don't see me calling people names or ridiculing them in some form or fashion if they make it clear that they do not share my beliefs. Apparently the same respect can't/won't be given to me and other fellow Christians in return on this board.

This is not a new thing, I've been in VJ for a long long time and realized that this was the case, and I've kept my peace. But between this thread and the gay pride parade, I have reached my limit.

I am not a weak, uneducated, intolerant sheep.

The implicit thing in Christianity is that I'm going to burn in hell forever for not being a Christian. That's kind of insulting.

I'm just saying. Where do people turn when they're hurting? Religion. I'm not going to be condescending and say I wish I could have that special belief.

That is a myth. I'll lay odds that the majority of those who do are 'lapsed' religious...those who believe in god but don't actually want to allow that belief to affect their day to day lives.
