Why'd you sell the Prius?

We had a couple of reasons.

1. Right now -- great time to sell it. Demand is huge. It was in fantastic shape, only 40k miles on it. We paid off what we owed on it and made a bit of a profit.

2. My husband's commute dropped from a hour commute one way to 10 minutes. We figured if we could find a good car with decent gas mileage (30 miles/gallon minimum) we could afford to let the Prius go, as far as gas savings go.

3. The difference between the Prius payment and our new car payment is $200. Our goal is to pay off my student loan by this time next year (only $10,000 more to go!) and every little bit helps! And then my husband has promised to get another Prius. :D So short term suffering for long term gain!

Went to a birthday party, BBQ-d and went to the beach. Got sunburned, forgot to put sunblock on my upper chest, knees and bottom of my feet. Ouch, I hurt! :cry:

Good reasons. Just was surprised given the ags prices why anyone would want a less efficient car, but your case makes sense.

After a busy Saturday and Sunday ( it was Myla's birthday ) Myla and I just had our Monday for relaxation. After watching CLOVERFIELD, which I don't recommend because it left us dizzy ,we decided to go for a 10 minute drive to get a cone of ice cream. Unfortunately, Sabina's Ice cream shop closed after lunch because it was Memorial Day so I told Myla to just drive and we would find another ice cream shop.

Myla is also practicing her driving at the same time and she is doing great. Easy to teach and great control of the car. She has her learner's permit ( she didn't drive in the Philippines ) and ready to take the actual driving test at the end of this month. Anyhows, after driving for 45 minutes we finally found Rita's Custard in Brooksville!! The ice cream tasted great so it was worth the long drive and the countryside scenery was just great.

We arrived in the house at about 6pm, lit two candles and let them float in the pool.

It was a great day :)
